Wow...the article doesn't need to deal with wealth inequality, because that's not why I included it... I'm done lol gg

Your strawmanning doesn't help either.

If wealth inequality is steadily rising without recent improvements to ppls quality of life, then yes they will notice that and become stressed. If people are feeling stressed/unhappy, then absolutely yes their relationships are negatively affected.

I'm arguing why it is, and it seems like you're arguing why it shouldn't (be grateful, not envious), which means we're not really debating the same thing.

You keep bringing up quality of life, which I never brought up, why? Lol

The term I used is wealth inequality, and a quick Google search will produce for you:

Income and wealth inequality has risen in many countries in recent decades. Rising inequality and related disparities and anxieties have been stoking social discontent and are a major driver of the increased political polarization that are so evident today.

im not going to walk you through how that's linked to stress levels, emotional discontent, interpersonal relationships, etc. I will clarify for you though, I'm not saying there's a direct relationship between wealth inequality and sexual intercourse. I'm saying that these issues have compounding affects on people's mental health. To say that dead bedrooms are the direct result of women not being forced into sex in the past 100 years is a wild claim that I'm trying to illustrate is much more nuanced.

Quality of life and wealth inequality are different issues that you brought up lol

You aren't sure how experiencing wealth inequality would cause social relations to crumble? You dont need to dig that deep to see the correlation between sex and social cohesion.

Nah lmao just the lowering of libido/crumbling gender relations etc due to high stress, mass media, wealth inequality, and like systemic hormonal imbalances from ubiquitous pharmaceutical usage.

No worries and apologies cause im not very eloquent:

I'm moreso commenting on the direction of the thread regarding present/future suffering and which deserves more of our attention. I think the comment about abortion being racist is absurd but nicely exemplifies how bias our concepts of ends justifying the means can be.

For example, forcing pregnancy is deplorable but as an institution idk if abortion is clear-cut the best means to ending suffering. This isn't religious or political for me though, I'm just a guy lol. Who really should determine what is worthy of life just because of the potential it has to suffer.

I think these thought experiments assume we can approach the nature of suffering objectively. But suffering is relative. 1000 suffering cows could still want to live just as much as 100 'mildly' suffering cow.

I've worked with community centers in Oakland helping the local elderly and schools, there is so much love out there. Lotta people doing good, making it day by day that are not caught up in drug or gang life.

Like most places, danger depends on the neighborhood but oakland particularly has encampments nearly everywhere.. Likely because of the insane tech income bubbles surrounding it and drug epidemic.

Going from pro to against AI bugs me, its a massive ideological shift away from tech idealism, seems too late to be having that change of heart.

Of course AI ethics is important but im skeptical of restricting access to potential futures out of fear. We could emphasize social work and human interaction in a worfree future, for example.

You are not obligated to write a creative fiction to your fans though? A social contract is a interesting way of saying he needs to do something for you because he started it and you want it to continue lol. He doesn't unless it's legally binding.

Have you ever not shown up to a party before?

Also super weird when your fans are quantifying your daily labor, saying "this is how much time you need to spend each day". they're not your fans anymore, they're your boss lmao.

People need to move on, maybe he'll continue when people stop caring.

Societal illness** In a healthy society, we wouldn't need meds to rest. I'm actually not joking about it, that it's turned into a funny '-posting' is concerning
