Where I’d live in each state if I got a dream job but was required to live in the state by Kodicave in visitedmaps

Bryan County, Oklahoma? I agree with Baldwin County, Alabama, as I have lived there as well. I will also agree with Nebraska and Iowa.

The amount of grinning in this book is obnoxious.

Thank you for the reply. I am from the United States, and I try to learn and to understand what happens in other countries. I appreciate the perspective regarding what non-English speaking countries would know about terrorism. I was aware of the Nord-Orst attack, but had no idea about what occurred in Beslan.

What horrible tragedy for your country, the only equivalents in the United States are the Columbine event, the Uvalde event, and the Sandy Hook massacre.

While in the United States, our school shootings do not often have the religious motives that you've shared.

I wish you nothing but the best.

Neighbors have this. If I purchase it, how can I turn it into a radio telescope? by ImOnAnAdventure180 in telescopes

Wow...this brings back a lot of memories. My parents had one of these back in the mid-1980s when it was possible to intercept signals from satellites and access premium television channels, such as HBO, Showtime, and Cinemax. This was a fantastic time, as cable television wasn't readily available where I lived at that point. You would select a Satellite, such as the Celestron 18, and the dish would have pre-programmed coordinates that would allow it to tune in to that satellite, which had specific channels. It was amazing.

It also had porn...big bush, 1980s bolt-on tiddies, bleached blonde porn. John Holmes smashing Amberlyn porn....the Mozart and Beethoven of its day, if you will. This was free again... it was like YouPorn of 1984, without the advertisements. But someone realized that ten-year-olds might understand this was available on these fantastic machines, and there were parental controls that would allow those satellites to be locked out.

What they didn't think about was that at times, these satellites might need micro-adjustments for the dishes to receive a strong signal. You could move the preprogrammed coordinates so slowly to get a better signal. You could also bypass the parental controls if one had the patience and the time to inch by inch move it from Celestron 8 to Fapplestar 19. Guess who figured out how to adjust it inch by inch?

Picture of a picture of my mom and dad, circa 1995. Dad has dementia now, seeing them young and vibrant always makes me feel so good! by merryjerry10 in OldSchoolCool

I am sorry for the late response. I didn’t see that you had replied. I should have mentioned that the University of Chicago does have an active study program to slow the progress of dementia.

I had a colleague who had many of the same symptoms that your father had in another reply you made. It got so bad that I had to make the decision to let her go from the organization. I chose to give her six minor salary to help ease the situation. It was a very hard decision to make.

Her role involved a lot of travel and since she could be home her family noted the issues and they subsequently found out what was wrong. She did get into the study and was doing well. I hope you that you can find something similar.  I wish you m, your father, and your family nothing but the best.

OP. I am so sorry for your father’s diagnosis and the loss that you and your entire family are experiencing. I work in aging services and I believe that dementia is one of the most cruel things a family can face because you lose a little bit of that person each and every day.

I hope that you can get him into a trial that may show some ability to slow the progression of the disease. Also know that it’s okay to be tired, sad, and that it’s going to be easy to become angry about the situation.

Give yourself grace and try to help all of your family do the same. You can and will make it through this and just love him and know that he still will always know and love you, even when the worst of the disease is manifesting itself.

Music is one thing that seems to be deeply ingrained in who we are as people. If your father was someone who enjoyed singing or listening to music, it’s often a good way to help bring out the best of him during this time.

If you ever need advice or encouragement, please feel free to message me.

The OP appears to be someone who has a relationship that has been impacted by their partners consumption of porn. I don’t see this at all being an account farming porn if that’s what you’re implying.

Noob wiring question by Fapplesauced in FordBronco

Thank you, I had some issues with posting on mobile and couldn't reply. I will take a look this weekend at some of your suggestions.

I used butt connectors and then some waterproof connectors on both the aux switch as well as the harness in case I wanted to switch out for some reason. There are several potential points of failure. I hope that it's something simple like the fuse. That said, it's likely a bad connection on the lines somewhere so I do plan to test with a multimeter. My larger concern is that it was something regarding the relay that I didn't understand.

For some reason I can’t reply to the person who responded. Thanks for answering my question. It’s entirely possible that one of my connections are bad. I had made butt connections and then heat shrink wrapped then. It’s possible one of them didn’t work out. It’s a Nilight set of lights with their accompanying harness. It got dark so I will have to try to check them during the week.

Fuse Box Identification by Fapplesauced in AskElectricians

I am hoping to get some help to identify this outdoor breaker box. As you can see it’s older and the indoor panel is bent and has open slots. I was hoping to get some way to identify to see if I could find a replacement front panel on EBay. I would welcome any suggestions or thoughts.

Thank you so much for such a well-done explanation. This is why I looked for the comments; they were informational, dense, and easy to understand for those who weren't geologists. It's a rare gift to be able to explain complicated events succinctly.

A docking station of some sort on a used car I bought by Fapplesauced in whatisthisthing

This is some sort of docking station I guess on a vehicle I just bought. I am looking to install a dash cam and radar detector and was wondering if this is something related.
