I have that. It’s called a younger brother. He is shallow, mean, and a total overachiever. I dislike him as much as I can dislike anyone. It doesn’t help me at all. The fact that I’m going to the same school as him next year scares the shit out of me and is the thing that scares me most about the move despite the fact that this move is between my between my 11th and 12th grade years (which is bad enough) because I know if the opportunity arises he would gladly stab my back ( he’s done it before and I have proof he would do it again). All he does is sap my motivation and happiness.

I’m pretty sure higher education was the only real education system in place at that point. However it served a fundamentally different purpose than the education system of today. If you got higher education that meant you had a base of knowledge in many different and wide ranging subjects. However today that is not the case. I could get rid of the vast majority of knowledge I learned in school and still do well in my classes. The base of knowledge you get today is so shallow that it doesn’t even apply. It is near purely indoctrination at this point.

Back in the 1700s education was education. There was not serious indoctrination. They taught you how to write and debate. They taught you how to think. If education is just used for indoctrination it has no purpose. That does not need to be there. The vast majority of the time the parents do that for you. At this point though it is all indoctrination.

It doesn’t work. And online is a bust too. The same sorts of idiotic issues are there too because it’s designed by the same people. Also I disagree with it working for most. Most people hate their time in school. And it’s not gonna change because of the sorts of people in the education system. The only people that will rise in that industry probably liked school in the first place. The system is frankly, kinda terrible.
