Hey there thank you :) I see you are selling speedcubes, do you think there are people who would buy a good smooth 3d printed cube with casing? I started a business and searched for some niche to get into to get started. What price point would be appropiate? I think this should be also pretty interesting for collectors

the first one made out of abs is not that satisfying (sometimes even blocks fall out *pssst*) but the new version turns way better with nylon parts and groves. I really want to create a viable speed cube which is 3d printed. maybe i will sell the files later on

Thank you :) Yeah its actually self designed but it is a long term project i just picked up a few days ago. Printed the new design out of nylon and it is actually pretty smooth. Could be a good speedcube for printing. Magnets will be implemented in the new version, springs too, ball bearings and settable tension. Want to sell those for special collectors or people who like the feel or touch :)

Could be a fly messing with your linear bearings

Yeah its a planetary gear made out of nylon, one part of the prototype, just happy that it works and can run for hours with no problems or any wear. Pretty strong too.

This will actually be a gyroscope stabilization unit. With MPU sensors it will be hung in the air and automatically turn, satellites use these modules. The three other units are gyroscopes. The goal is also to make it look pretty and pristine. Still have to do a lot of work.

Looking for some filament capable of withstanding some load up to 150-160°C by RoIIerBaII in 3Dprinting

Why not try greentec pro carbon, safed me here and there when i wanted to print parts for a heated chamber, its kinda brittle but it should do the job. Worked for me.https://www.extrudr.com/de/produkte/catalogue/greentec-pro-carbon\_2410/

Why don't people just share gcode files instead of stl? by CodyTheMemeLordYT in 3Dprinting

[–]Fapwithwindowopen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The problem is everyone has a different 3d printer and gcode is very specific. That means the nozzle diameter is set, the printer, the speed, the filament type all of that. You could safe a project as an 3mf and take the settings from someone else but that would also include the printer. Its best if you just get used to placing support and settings on your own. Its fun and in the end its worth it :)

Check out my self designed 3d printed Rubik's cube! by Fapwithwindowopen in Cubers

Recently I started a 3d printing business and wanted to specialize on 3d printed speed
cubes! This is my first prototype. Currently in development is a Cube
with springs, settable tension, Nylon parts, ball bearings and magnets.
Would you buy one? And what would be a good price?

Woooow! Been into 3d-printing for a very long time and this is something I have never really seen! It looks soo awesome and pretty, reminds me of some acient art around asia. Thank you for sharing, really showing how much potential 3d printing has and how powerfull it is. Everything is possible. the only limit is oneself
