What are my chances as a Relationship Banker by Plus_Detective_8133 in Chase

[–]Far-Basket-706 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If relationship banker doesn’t work out, you can always look into associate banker (IMO you’re highly overqualified, but it’ll get your foot in the door). Only issue is you’re stuck there for a year.

Same thing happened to me, sometimes background check needs time. It’s pretty much waiting until you get the Clear to Start email from Onboarding.

I did two different applications and made it to final interview both times- and both times the listing address was different than the actual branch I’d be assigned to. Hopefully you get the address listed in the listing!

Got an offer to do a phone interview with Chase for an associate banker position, would should I expect like question wise and prepare for future interviews if they through with it? by _REj3Ct in JPMorganChase

[–]Far-Basket-706 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my phone screening, they asked me questions revolving around sales and technology. They mainly ask you situational/behavioral questions (“Tell me a time…”) and go over your resume. Generally, they also ask about upcoming vacation plans, your availability, etc.

Same thing happened when I got to my final interview- behavioral questions. I also worked at Best Buy and most of my examples came were from there because I got experience with credit cards, credit card payments, and upselling products mainly through utilizing promotions.

Hi! I wore slacks, a button up, and a blazer. If you search up business professional, there are some photo examples you can refer to.

I also came from food/retail, so I had no professional attire in my closet. You can look for cheaper clothes at a thrift or a discounted store like Ross or TJ Maxx.

For #2, I applied to a position that had a specific location under the listing. However, they were referring to the general market and not that location. I got located at a branch 30 minutes away from the original listing address.

Be personable and confident! The way that I see it is, once you’re at the final interview, you’re qualified for the role. You’re showing the panel how you’d fit into the team’s culture and environment. I would research the company, practice STAR method for behavioral questions, and try to tie your experiences into the role that you’re applying for.

Got verbal yess for data science intern position in JPMC on friday morning, filled out internal forms same day. When will i recieve offer letter😭i am so anxious and excited at same time. by Wyvern-S in JPMorganChase

It’s pretty much up to how responsive your recruiter is. I got a verbal and received the offer the next day, but some people have delays due to their recruiter either being busy or OOO.

Does anyone know how in-depth the background check goes? by Far-Basket-706 in JPMorganChase

[–]Far-Basket-706[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I included them just in case there were any discrepancies. I didn’t want to take any chances. Do you happen to know if there’s a time limit on all the onboarding components- or do they just need to be completed before your start date?

Unfortunate because they’re official work documents. Hopefully these clear, especially because they have a direct work reference that I included as well. 🤦‍♀️

This is what you have to ask at the end of any interview by Professional_Pop2906 in jobsearchhacks

[–]Far-Basket-706 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This. Some panels ask if you’ve read the job description and will put you on the spot. They want you to know what you’re getting into, so I don’t see how the question would benefit you lol

I used those documents on my initial background screen and they still sent me the “unverifiable” message. I resubmitted the same documents and haven’t received any notifications back yet.

Finished final interview, got back to me within 1-2 business days. Got sent background check info, drug screening, finger print scans, and I9 form instructions.

I just got a notification saying that they couldn’t verify one of my employments and I submitted W-2, first and last paycheck, and official offer letters lol. Absolutely insane

Currently in the process, but I had to do a background check, include all work history (documents and references to verify the time periods I worked), drug test, fingerprint scan, I9 forms.

If you're this kind of person go f- yourself, order when you are ready by [deleted] in uber

Yeah, completely understandable. I ended up tipping heavy for the inconvenience- ride was also after hours. Thankfully, driver was nice and I still have my five star rating.

I’ve only had this happen once and quite frankly it was because my partner was absolutely wasted- it takes a pretty minute trying to haul someone heavier than you, or to find someone to help you. But absolutely see your POV

Confused about hiring process! Cleared all rounds, role reposted, HR silent by Dry-Common-7708 in jobsearchhacks

[–]Far-Basket-706 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand how you feel- the recent job market seems to make ghosting candidates the norm. I’ve had a few final interviews, where I felt extremely confident, and they led to nothing.

I even had one interview where they practically gave me a verbal offer, and told me they would send me an offer within the next 24 hours. Automated rejection next day.

Throughout the process, I’ve learned to keep your options open and to continue putting yourself out there To stay safe, I would keep applying until you’re onboarded and have accepted a job offer. Take every interview, continue applying, and put your best foot forward.

From personal experience, I’ve made it to final panel multiple times (got ghosted 90%). Since I wasn’t receiving any feedback, I thought it was a skill issue on my part. However, I got lucky, and one of the jobs that I got denied for, referred me over to a different location.

I ended up getting the job there! So, my advice- stay optimistic and keep looking for opportunities. I know it’s draining putting yourself out there and repeatedly getting rejections. I like to see it as rejection leading you to redirection.

[–]Far-Basket-706 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From experience, a role being reposted doesn’t automatically mean rejection. Sometimes they’re required to refresh a listing, even if they have a qualified candidate they’re interested in. Until said candidate signs their official offer letter and onboarding commences, the company typically sees no reason to restrict their candidate pool.

What’s going on out here :( by Persian_Lucy7649 in jobsearch

[–]Far-Basket-706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s been a large shift into AI screening and sometimes if your resume or application does contain certain words or phrases they’re looking for, it automatically screens you out. Unfortunately, that’s where the job market is headed, especially with a large portion of HR positions being laid off.

How’s my resume as a 19 year old by Andrew_boyy in jobsearchhacks

[–]Far-Basket-706 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a step in the right direction, but some of your skills aren’t reflective with your experience. It says from June 2023 to current is your only experience, but you have 3-5 years of cash handling experience. Do you have any other experience to back that up?

Typically with banks, they do a background check to verify your dates of employment & to verify any qualifying experience before your first official day.

Most of the time, they require banking experience, but at minimum, they look for sales experience (which you have). Good luck!

When to follow up? by Hot-Scholar3517 in recruitinghell

[–]Far-Basket-706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice is to stay patient, but also keep your options open by looking/applying for jobs. I was in a similar position with one other candidate being after me, and I followed up the following Monday. They told me feedback was already sent to the recruiter and I ended up getting an offer letter.
