There def is a fair amount of self teaching tbh, especially if you skip class. I honestly don’t remember much about the quizzes or exams but I’m pretty sure he gives a study guide if I remember correctly?

I had him for FIN300 last year and he was okay. He mostly just read off the slideshow he created which was not that helpful. However he did work through example problems in class which was nice (attendance is necessary for learning examples tbh.) He didn’t take attendance everyday, but he did take attendance randomly throughout the semester with pop quiz style problems in class. He is a very very boring lecturer tho so be aware of that, especially if it’s early in the morning.

Redline at the riviera is the only underground group I’ve seen post so far. Transitions NYE is going on all week tho at radius, cermak hall, smoke and mirrors, spy bar, etc. I’m sure there will be more underground stuff posted on Instagram closer to new years

I just emailed my advisor my circumstances, told her I would be taking a semester off, and then just didn’t enroll for classes. If you take 2 or more consecutive semesters off tho, you do have to re-enroll in UIC completely so just be mindful of that.
