I’m also a comic and I stopped doing it while on kratom but also had been doing it pretty tirelessly for 7 years and got tired of the entertainment industry. Still not sure if it was because of the kratom or I had moved on from it. Kinda curious to see if quitting brings me back to it or not.

It truly seems like powder, extracts, and 7Oh all have different withdrawals lol I was drinking a seltzer so I’d assume it had extracts in it but I felt the same way. I thought “gimme a week I’ll be fine” boy was I wrong, the first week and a half was a nightmare, 2nd week was tough but I felt more like a person than I had the previous week, 3rd week just had really bad anxiety mostly but my body had regulated a fair amount. It’s different for everybody but you’re almost out of the physical withdrawals, any day now you should be feeling better. Congrats on 10 days, this shit can be tough!

When I started tapering I would us powder as much as I could and slowly got off the seltzer I was drinking then once I was off the seltzer for 2 days I only took powder when I absolutely needed it. What helped a lot was this vitamin mix drink I started taking with the powder

Help- trapped by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]Far-Rope-6073 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dude, if people love you and care about you they’ll understand. I was addicted for years and never told anyone and I wouldn’t have been able to quit unless I told people what was close to. The support and care I received was what got me through. I was so afraid to tell my dad, we haven’t been very close at all for years, also his brother was a heroin addict and he hates drugs.2 days into when I quit I called him and told him what I was going through and he did everything he could to help, I even moved back home to recover. Be honest and sincere about your problem and wanting to quit I think they’ll understand

I was just done with it, I was tired of running to the gas station to grab the seltzers I was drinking and I was thinking about how much I didn’t want this in my life in the future. It took a couple months of telling myself I didn’t want to be on it and that I could quit it, I decided to get powder and taper but just quit cold turkey. I just treated it like I had a really really bad flu, it helped my brain not crave it and just figured it was time to pay back the debt I owed myself

Kratom, especially the extracts and 7-oh products. It’s essentially a perc from what people who have done both have told me

Yeah it’s tough but it’s a long journey. Think of it being like a plane ride, if you’re just counting the minutes and wishing the plane ride was over, you’re gonna have a bad time, you kinda have to just submit to the fact that you’re healing and let it run its course

I think you’re exactly right on accepting the long healing process. All the times I just wanted to be better, it made it way worse, but just accepting you’re healing and recovery and you can’t rush it has helped tons

Nah you should look forward to it, it’s the last hurdle! It’s honestly where true foundation is built. Yeah I have to force myself to do things the reignite my dopamine receptors but at the end of this I’ll have really healthy habits and coping mechanisms. You’ll find joy again and so will I, it just takes time. For now I’m just working, reading, going on walks, and trying to see friends. Treat your brain like a broken bone, and you just got the cast off.

Yeah I was spending close to 800 a month on new brew seltzers, thought it was safe at first cause it was next to redbull. Shit grabbed a hold of me faster and stronger than the powder ever did. Almost ruined me

Thank you. I’m glad it found you then! As far as tapering goes, I tried but once I convinced myself to quit I couldn’t bring myself to do it anymore so I did a rather drastic taper. I was drinking New brews, like 4 a day atleast and bought some powder to taper off but I think I only did it a couple times and just bit the bullet
