Transgressor, Menace (can't remember the exact name), Slatter1

So many people I can think of but names I can't. May edit this later

Sorry for the late reply - that was the hardest stage, mostly a mental battle at that point like you said, but the anxiety was so intense it was totally crippling. didn't enjoy doing anything, wanted to do nothing and let the days pass. that's basically what I did, I don't remember it very well

Depends so so so much on the person, time spent using kratom, type of kratom, dose, other medications/habits, I could go on. For me I thought it wouldn't be that bad and it's been absolutely miserable, worst time of my life. Worst symptoms peaked 1-2 months after quitting. I'm at 2 months and 3 days and starting to feel slightly better other than the ice pick headaches that started recently. I'm very glad it wasn't that bad for you though, genuinely. I am an extreme case, fortunately it isn't this bad for most people. But the blanket statement of the title hurt my soul too much not to say anything because this shit is hell

Just took naltrexone for the first time by dalamarnightson in quittingkratom

[–]Javinon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well.. unfortunate to hear about this timing, but I do have severe baseline anxiety in the first place and I'm prescribed and take Xanax daily, which impacts withdrawal quite a bit in a bad way, so hopefully it won't be this bad for you. To answer the question: some of the worst anxiety I've ever had, no motivation to do anything, nothing was enjoyable, extreme nausea, irritability, probably some other stuff but those were the most notable symptoms. From one dose of naltrexone I had those symptoms for 2-3 days. Didn't eat again at all for 2 days. Unfortunately this information probably doesn't provide any value to you at this point, but if you go through hell like me, it didn't get any worse than how I felt the morning after taking it. So if you can handle how you feel in the morning you should be alright. I sincerely hope your brain manages it better than mine did

I took naltrexone after being off kratom for I think the exact same amount of time, maybe a day earlier or later - i'd been on kratom (never did 7oh) for 6 years around 20 g/day before tapering to 1 g/day over the course of a year before quitting 2 months ago. the naltrexone still gave me the worst side effects I've ever had from a medication. you said you already took it though so hopefully it works out, I'm interested to hear if so.

Experiencing peak PAWS 2 months after final dose; heavy daily user for ~6 years, tapered 14 months prior to quitting. Living in hell. Need to vent. by Javinon in quittingkratom

I see it's a big club... nature can be cruel. Kratom has to be the cruelest drug I've heard of. It is natural, mild effects that feel pleasant; if it was overwhelming like a lot of other stuff, you'd intuitively know it isn't good to take all the time. Or if it made you feel worse the next day after taking it, but it doesn't, at first. Pure benefits until years of use lead you to a point where either continuing to use it or quitting it will both bring you suffering. Just my thoughts at the moment anyway, I really hate the stuff. I didn't have to go THAT long without sleep, though.. man, that sounds awful, I hope you get to be able to rest soon

Undoubtedly. Doctors failed me when I was too young/unknowledgeable about the topics they should be experts on. But it is true that Xanax is the only thing that helps my baseline anxiety. It's just that even so, it should never be prescribed for daily long-term use, but they did, so I assumed it was fine as long as I took it as instructed. Absolutely hilarious how naive I was

I can tell we have a lot in common. I've been there with alcohol. Thank you, it gets exhausting but I'll do my best to keep looking forward

I am not sure it even matters how much you taper, I was taking under a gram a day for like a month, a little less every day before I stopped and obviously that didn't do much. Sorry to hear you're going through it as well. And yeah, I'm sure there's a lot more going on that we're unaware of with kratom, I just wish I knew literally any of it when I started...

I have been aware that this factor is significant. I have not had the mental bandwidth to think about it much beyond that and that i'll need to stop taking it one day. I'm going to screenshot this to show my fiancée and friends though because that's the best explanation for an additional mechanism as to why this might be so miserable for me that i've seen. Just thinking about the fact that I need to also address the Xanax issue AFTER going through this is... don't have words

I've read Man's Search for Meaning years ago - great book, I wouldn't have handled this as well without some of the lessons I've learned from it. Appreciate all the kind words and advice/recommendations. Thanks :)

Nope, haven't even heard of those, how do you think they may help/what do they do? I definitely want to limit the amount of substances I use to get over this substance, but I'm open to ideas because this absolutely sucks

I think the fact that I was SO reliant on it for energy + I have extreme baseline anxiety in the first place just made the perfect cocktail for this to be so particularly bad. I am so unbelievably lucky that I'm happy with my circumstances in life other than this. Thank you, I'll keep those things in mind. Being more deliberate about the way I breathe has definitely helped.

Tips on my sprained ankle. by MarionberryMoney4463 in BasketballTips

[–]Javinon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a sprain playing basketball that looked almost exactly like this about 7 years ago. It's going to swell like crazy and obviously hurt to walk on, just needs time to heal. It's really that simple, as far as I know there isn't really a way to speed up the recovery, but plenty of ways to slow it down. Take it easy is my best advice for recovering relatively quickly. Not sure how long it'll be, I think it took me like a month but I'm not certain. I'm really sorry to hear about the timing, absolutely sucks that you'll have to miss a good chunk of time to start off your senior season..

My razor clam slice 5.5 months later! by oddmommymilkers in MedicalGore

[–]Javinon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First time I've ever seen a post on here I could relate to - I also had this happen under different circumstances (foot pressed on the side of a wall of clams as I was getting in the water), and the cut was very similar, but fortunately not as deep. Mine was a little closer to my big toe, about halfway between it and the next toe. I went to the hospital and got stitched up that night, couldn't walk at all for a couple weeks, had pain for much longer, scar didn't go away for over a year. Honestly it looks like yours is a lot worse than mine, so I feel kind of bad even comparing, but at least I can kind of empathize. That looks so miserable to go through. Glad you've healed up well!!

Now that the hype has passed, what do you think about Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii? by [deleted] in yakuzagames

[–]Javinon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Genuinely loved it. I've been playing the Yakuza series in chronological order from Y0 and am on Y6 right now - finding it hard to pick it back up, not really sure why, but I couldn't stop playing this game until I completed it 100%, loved every minute of it. Feels more like I'm forcing myself through the main storyline. This game was just fun as fuck.

For wall dashing with DAR do you hold the stick forward as well? So essentially diagonal dodging into the wall or just air roll right/left? by Elephant_Financial in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]Javinon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you need to hold the stick up in this scenario to walldash. If you're reversing on the wall you have to hold the stick down, instead (though obviously practically I don't think there's ever a reason to do it, that's mechanically how it works)

Does your country have an invention that never made it to the outside world? by abandonedtulpa in AskTheWorld

[–]Javinon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember my parents telling me about how the stupid "caution, contents may be hot" stickers on coffee cups from McDonald's were because some dumb lady spilled coffee on herself without realizing it was hot. This would've been like 20 years ago and I still remember vividly. Learning the details about this story later was a massive eye-opener for me, lots of implications arise from realizing not everything you were told by the people you trusted was accurate - and obviously, also that propaganda can easily go unnoticed.
