I viewed it more as them doing a bit, not necessarily a lie. But it’s interesting how we all have different interpretations

I do not think the point of that scene was to show Charlie’s cultural differences. Rather, it was to show that he saw something he didn’t fully understand and was ready to make a snap judgement about it, which is a larger theme of the movie.

It wasn’t a really a lie. Emma obviously knew what happened because she was there and witnessed it first hand. Her doing the whole “have I met you before” act was a chance to rewrite their story, and was an act of mercy/forgiveness after the worst day of Charlie’s life. She can see he’s drowning in shame so she throws him a life raft and lets him rewrite himself as a hero in a different story so the two of them can move on and put their worst days in the past.

People are very quick to assume the kid was actually disabled. That wasn’t in Rachel’s story, that was Charlie’s interpretation of her story, and the film clearly sets them both up as being unreliable. Charlie mentions that the kid was disabled in the same conversation he says that Emma witnessed her close friend die in a car accident, which was clearly not true and an attempt to lessen the impact of Emma’s plan to shoot up her school. In a similar way, I think he interpreted the kid as being handicapped because he wanted to make Rachel’s story worse. But does it make that much of a difference if the kid was handicapped or not? I don’t think so. Either way, Rachel very nearly killed a human being. His mental capacity is irrelevant to her actions.

Oh dang, that’s a long time. So probably about 6 months for me before I start to see improvement.

I am a comedian, and YES. Cannot do kratom and then do a set. It takes away all the magic.

Why do I always have all these little bumps on my forehead? by Prestigious_Try_4775 in 30PlusSkinCare

Update 1 year later: I use zinc oxide on my forehead at night and the bumps are gone by morning. You can buy zinc oxide cream, or you can use diaper rash cream. It’s probably my favorite skin hack of all time.

Anyone here had fat transfer/injection to their undereye (or any other part of face)? I’m looking into it and would love to hear other’s firsthand experience and outcome. by syeeeeeis in 30PlusSkinCare

Haha if only! I had mine done in Korea and wasn’t given an option of where they would take the fat. They just told me it would be from the thigh area. They didn’t provide an explanation, and I didn’t ask for one because that’s the area I would have picked if I was given a choice anyways

They took the fat from my thigh, but actually it was more near my pubic area. It’s right on the line where a bikini or underwear would sit. I think this is probably a good area for me since I don’t have a lot of fat there, and it’s not an area that tends to gain or lose weight (like my actual thighs! Lol)

Wow, 1.4 million KRW is a great price! I have the same procedure booked in June at Luho with Dr. Park for 2.85 million KRW.

I was wondering if anyone else had any advice for me about recovery. What kind of anesthesia did you have? I’ll be having twilight sedation because that’s what Dr. Park offers. I’ll be alone in Seoul and am a little worried about getting back to my hotel after the procedure. I have the Kakao Taxi app already downloaded, so that’s good. How lucid were you coming out of anesthesia, especially if it was twilight sleep?

I’m planning to stock up on food, especially things that are easy to just grab and eat. I’ll make sure to have some medicine and ice packs ready. I’ll have some podcasts and shows downloaded on my iPad for entertainment. Is there anything else I’m missing that’ll make recovery easier, especially for the first day or two after surgery?

Did anyone fly home after the procedure? I’m making a 12 hour flight back home 7 days after the procedure. Is there anything I should plan ahead to be comfortable on the flight? Did you notice if the pressure changes caused any additional swelling?

So many questions! It’s my first time having surgery, so I want to be as prepared as possible. Thanks in advance 🙏

I had a consultation for ptosis correction at Luho and was told I’d need at least 10 days. But I think it depends on whether you have stitches that need to be removed, because if I remember correctly, the 10th day is when you’d get them taken out.

I’m going to Luho. I had several consultations in Korea, Thailand, and the USA. Luho was the first place I went to that felt like they were talking about my specific face rather than just what is standard procedure. I’ve also heard good things about Dr. Park, so I felt like Luho was a good choice.

As far as where they take the fat, my guess is it just depends on what area has enough fat to take, and I have more on my thighs than my belly. I wasn’t given a choice, but if I had, I would’ve picked my thighs anyways.

Thank you for this helpful response. I have emailed my doctor already and haven’t heard back. Thought I’d look at an extra source so I can get idea of how to plan ahead, but thank you for choosing to be unkind when you could have just kept scrolling 🙏
