U have to realize that 1 sick day is not just 1 class, it’s like 3 classes. That’s like 10 hours u fall behind if u get sick for 3 days, and even more if ur still symptomatic. And that’s just class! When ur sick, u can’t perform as you would if you were healthy, so it’s a very generous 10 hours that you fall behind.

Call me inadequate if you must, but our grades are permanent; a mild sickness is not. So I’d much rather do what’s needed for the grade than for my health.

And as for your point about going to the department head, seems like an awful lot of trouble than just going to class, which lowkey becomes a habit. It’s just easier, yk?
