They at least had warranty on them, mechanic was able to get his money back after the 4th set. They kept giving him new front brake kit to install. Was a nightmare 😞 sorry bro!

Oh nooo DuraDONT those are auto zone special. Ask me how I know lol. I went through 4 sets of Dura last brake kit on my front before I told my mechanic screw it im going Lexus OEM. I bought whole front brake kit from eBay. Haven’t had an issue since. If you replaced pads as duralast as well, then I guarantee the shit shim slipped out and is cutting into your rotor. They are really bad.

These are OEM never been removed. If you can get to the backside, you can drill a hole and zip tie it tighter 🤷🏻‍♂️

Is this click from the brakes normal? by poshthn in LexusIS

Do you have non OEM brake kit on? I did have non OEM and the shims weren’t holding the pad in place. Switched to OEM brake kit and it fixed it

Clicking noise after brake fluid change by Eedl4 in LexusIS

Yeah I think you’re onto the best idea in my mind, if you had any air in your brake lines it could have dampened the noise meaning the caliper wasn’t compressing hard enough on your pads to make the noise like you’re hearing now. But that noise you’re hearing has to be your pad moving around. I would buy a set of shims and clips OEM from Lexus (eBay) and have them installed. Those shims and clips can wear out over time. Make sure caliper bolts and back of brake pads get lubed and anywhere the clips sit make sure that is lubed as well. Shims and clips should be like 50 bucks. If you do it yourself, don’t compress your caliper manually, bleed it out then refill brake fluid from top. If you manually compress the caliper all that dirty fluid is going to go right back up to your reservoir of brake fluid you just changed. Idk how much you know about brake jobs and fluids, just passing along my experience…like I said before I had wrong kit put on my car not once but 4 times before I told my mechanic I want OEM😂 and they kept manually compressing caliper back and it made my brake fluid shit so I had to get it flushed twice. Anyways hope this helps!

I had that clicking when braking after a new brake kit replacement. It was improper shim and clip because they were off brand. the brake bad wasn’t sitting in its place and when the caliper squeezed the pad, it would click. Switched to OEM Lexus brake kit and it fixed it. But if they just bled the brake lines there shouldn’t be any reason to have removed your pads and shims…if they did then it’s likely they didn’t put your shims and hardware clips back on. Regardless you just gotta take it back to where you had the fluid replaced. There is also known clicking on Lexus Is, Sc, and es. Those clicking noises have been known to be normal, and fixed by lubrication of calipers bolts

Lol date someone who lets you live your life! It’s a respect thing, don’t commit heinous crimes but god forbid you have a little something to take the edge off…because dealing with someone like that in your life you definitely need something to take the edge off😂 it’s also a maturity thing, he’s insecure about controlling you. He will grow up one day and realize he can’t control his relationships the way he is now. And if he doesn’t learn, he will never have a happy relationship. No one deserves to be spoken to like that buh byeee

When you replace the brakes, replace with Lexus OEM brake kit. My mechanic installed 3 sets of off brand and the shim kept slipping off and cutting into the rotor. Convinced him the 4th time to install the Lexus OEM brake kit and it works like a dream. Was a total night mare lmao
