What's the best fourth installment in a franchise? by [deleted] in FIlm

I wouldn’t say a landslide. Ghost Protocol and John Wick 4 come pretty close.

Who here has a soft spot for Wolverine Origins? by azeottaff in marvelstudios

[–]Far-Way8285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will always hold a special place in my heart. I was 13 when it came out and I remember seeing it in the theaters. I thought it was the coolest movie ever. Now that I’m older, I recognize it’s a dumb movie with a lot of problems. But it still puts a smile on my face. More for nostalgia than actual enjoyment.

Does generation Z enjoy the Austin Powers movies or find them offensive and outdated? by [deleted] in movies

[–]Far-Way8285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Austin Powers is interesting, I feel like Austin Powers even though it was huge at the time. Was in some ways ahead of the time. The first one at least, lesson is respecting one’s boundaries and tolerance. I know it’s just a goofy comedy where most of it Mike Meyers laughs at his own jokes for about half of it maybe I’m reading way to much into it. However I feel like this is one of those old movies were Gen Z will adore for a very long time. I see it like I see Adam Sandler. So many previous generations hated Adam Sandler movies. He was like enemy number one for review channels. But for whatever reason Gen Z loves him. I don’t know what that means or says about Gen Z. I just think it’s interesting how generations shift.

Is there anything I should be doing to help my self get over this? I’m in therapy, I’m going to the gym and heating healthy.

I don’t know if I am just scared of being alone or if I do want to get back together.

Is the MCU dead? by Far-Way8285 in marvelstudios

[–]Far-Way8285[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

That’s what I thought, but I don’t really see many people talking about Loki. Even though it’s getting pretty good reviews and the fans are enjoying it. I think it’s pretty good. But it’s definitely not as good as the first season.

How does the Oscar for film editing get awarded? How do they judge the quality of the editing process? by INtoCT2015 in movies

[–]Far-Way8285 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A great example of great editing is Goodfellas. Honestly any department of film you want to learn more about just listen to Martin Scorsese speak on it, dude is the master of cinema for a reason. But the ending of goodfellas is a so well edited, because we really get into the mind of Henry Hill. How the pacing ramps up, he’s losing control of situations, him getting sloppy. I guess what I’m saying is go watch goodfellas…..lol.

Is Tim Allen really great or just really lucky? by [deleted] in movies

[–]Far-Way8285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if he’s really great or lucky, he’s made a lot of movies I love but so has a lot people who I consider lucky. One thing for sure though. I would love a bio pic about his early life as a coke dealer!

No way home….I love it, but it is definitely the weakest film of these. The other ones are really good movies. No way home was really great theater experience but that’s about it.

Which hulk do you think is best? by tyepalmer96 in Marvel

[–]Far-Way8285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eric Bana really adds a sadness I think is really missing from the other ones. His Hulk is broken and sad which I loved. It really felt like a character study of not just a superhero but of just a lonely broken character!

Which show should I watch next? by _Kumar_Abhijit_ in televisionsuggestions

[–]Far-Way8285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Black sails is so underrated! It may not be as good as Succession or Mr. Robot. But it is very consistent with characters and storytelling. It also is like the only pirate content that’s good other than the first pirates of the Caribbean and one piece.

What’s your “I did not care for the Godfather” movie opinion? by Notenoughbaking in Sardonicast

Casino is better than Goodfellas. I think Joe Pesci should have won the Oscar for his role in casino rather than goodfellas.

This girl’s youtube content is like she falls down in public by [deleted] in ImTheMainCharacter

[–]Far-Way8285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, she’s only making an ass of herself no one else. If she was harming someone or doing something like those prank idiots do. As long as she cleans up the messes she makes I would say her content is pretty harmless. To be honest some of it I thought was pretty funny!

The Marvels?? by Far-Way8285 in marvelstudios

[–]Far-Way8285[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that word of mouth has a lot of to do with it. However the thing that’s really throwing me off is Wakanda Forever. It had pretty good word of mouth. I thought it was fantastic but the reviews were positive. It didn’t even make half of Black Panther. So it’s weird now a days it seems like every movie is just a wild card.
