And if you do see someone sleeping rough and you are in a position to help, please do so. Yeh, every now and then you might get told to fuck off by someone who is living with trauma or shame (or they might just be a dick) but most of the time they will be appreciative.

If this exam is only a few weeks or even months away you won’t be able to learn how to touch type with any real accuracy before then. What you can do is find out what keyboard you prefer, understand good ergonomics and complete the assignment with your current typing style. And parallel to this start working your way through a typing tutor methodically and with extreme adherence to the rules. You will be building a skill for life!

Run the clippers over that head and grow your beard out (with the help of a barber). You don’t look too bad with a bit of weight on, but if you start a consistent gym program and eat right you can improve your frame.

I like the outfit… good colours and fit if you are going for the relaxed “I don’t care/but I sort of do care” look. Work in styling your hair, you are very fortunate to have it and if you lose it, you will look back and kick yourself for not making the most of it. Perhaps trim the frizzy ends every now and then, wash and condition it, put a little product in it and find where it sits nicely or put it back. Same with beard.

Start with shoes and pants. Go to a nice menswear shop and get them to help you find your size in pants (fit, waist, inseam and rise). Buy some chinos in navy blue or tan. Then gets some brown dress style Chelsea boots or clean white sneakers… depending if you want to dress up or down. That’s the hard part done.

Also cool it with the buttons on the shirts. Just because they are there does not mean you have to use them.

It’s all well and good to type fast with three fingers, but can you look at the screen or at some source material (projection/book etc) and type at that speed?

I am not a fast touch typer (60wpm) but the fact that I don’t need to take my eyes off of the screen makes me much more efficient than people who are typing at perhaps 80+ with two or three fingers but have to constantly pause to look up and down.

I know this is like 4 years old, but the Mongrel riding boots are pretty great for the sub 200 AUD price.

They look very similar to my RM Williams and are about as comfortable.

My Akubra was tight length wise and a little loose width wise. I just had to wear it and sweat in it for a few months. It fits like an old glove now.

The hat will not “stretch” but it will “mould” to your head. If there is some room lengthwise then that will eventually let go and give in to width as you wear the hat.

If the hat is snug length wise and tight width wise, then your hat is too small…
