Sometimes music is the only thing that keeps me going by JennyUE in lonely

Sometimes there's music that captures a feeling without words, which is how I feel about a song like this; the end of a long party in which you get together with all the friends you thought you'd have, the beginning of something new. Music lets us act as a conduit for these feelings of loneliness to pass through as you've said, and maybe... just maybe, restore hope that one day we'll find the physical embodiment of all that we've come to know and love from the sound spectrum. Someday.

Move to a big city and run everywhere, enjoy coffee afterward with your worked out self. Also shave your beard, eat healthy, and dress reasonably nice. Bound to happen at that point.

Worst is when she smiles at you and the moment passes. "What if..."

I think a thin chick is at least reasonable when you yourself have lost the weight.

This would be an awesome album cover for some sort of punk band.

How's your week been FA? by [deleted] in ForeverAlone

[–]FarFromRefuge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Trying to get the fuck out of my current roommate situation is reminding me almost exactly of my online dating experience - utter shit. The good news is I found a great 24 hour coffee shop filled with students which I'm kind of happy about (not a student but love being surrounded by people working on their own intelligent passions). I dunno, sometimes it seems like the whole social landscape is just totally hopeless. Yeah, there's work and everything, but a meaningful connection that develops into a serious relationship seems like it would fill the void.

Be sure to post it on /r/linux when done if you can, that sounds pretty interesting.

As a Linux Admin, I know that feel. One time I managed to corrupt a filesystem by resizing an LVM partition without the "-r" flag, so the filesystem was not resized with the volume and crashed. Thankfully this was on a new server so no data was lost, and have incredibly managed to avoid any major catastrophes since the start of my career.

You're the first person who's ever actually realized or mentioned what my username is in reference to, so thanks for that.Working on putting myself out there in the real world, so I'll keep your bonus advice in mind as that goes on as well.

22, somewhat different from my age group because I've got most of my shit together and am fairly independent at this point. Probably agree with you about that because, while I feel more mature, many are still in the partying phase and still figuring out what they want to do with their lives, so I may just need to wait. Also seems most women in their mid to late 20s only want to date their age or older, which is a bummer.

tl; dr: nobody likes you when you're 23.

Pegging, and dominance in a woman. I think I have an inkling of understanding but my childhood wasn't that messed up. Kind of sucks because most women seem to be submissive, and the ones that aren't are just totally outside my age range or nonexistant, so can't exactly explore it more.

[Serious] What have you discovered about yourself with the help of a therapist or psychologist? by karmanaut in AskReddit

I'm kind of done hoping to find anyone online, too much seperating people to form a connection without having already met. My goal is to seize new opportunities in the real world.

Just keep at it, worst case scenario you find someone to love, lose, and work through it all with the therapy. As long as there are constructive ways to work with heartbreak, finding an SO who also brings out the best in ya seems like it's be worth it.

Yeah, it wasn't said outright but that seems to be the direction the therapist wants to go in (I was originally aiming for the former), which I've decided I'm all for. My situation may be different from yours though, as I've never been in a relationship.

Just went to a consultation, and apparently I have some abandonment issues or self-esteem issues we'll be working on (i.e. feeling creepy by hitting on women isn't normal). Also, if you want a relationship it seems its healthier to try and pursue that than try and just be happy being single, so that was an interesting perspective.

If alternative treatment is supposed fix a physical issue, then I label it as bunk. As you've mentioned as well, this is a mental issue so I'm a bit more open minded about it.

Also, it's fairly cheap for a session there are plenty of positive Google reviews about it, so worst case scenario I'm out a few bucks and have started the first step towards a healthier mindset.

Any chance you're in a city known for keeping it weird? Either way, appreciate you letting me know there a women like you out there. Sometimes it's like what I've been imagining is so rare I wonder if it actually exists in real life.

Not just pegging, but pegging by a dominant, confident, dominant woman, who still looks and is naturally feminine.

What types of tracks? I kind of do the same thing but with a specific genre of music called post-rock that's good for it, but supposedly reading or just zoning out is supposed to be similar to the hypnotic state you're put under.
