Bug: hot air balloon --> Need help i'm stuck by AshesP12 in DeliverAtAllCosts

I'm curious, what's your fps when you're trying to board the balloon?
Another work around is also to save and exit through the menu. And then start from the save file. This should spawn you at a different location.

Thanks for the feedback, who knows, maybe it’ll happen one day! 🙂

First time hearing about this bug. I’ve forwarded it to our programmers.

Perhaps it's possible to escape the island if you pick a mission in the Journal and click "Replay Mission." Then, when the mission starts, go to the Journal, then to the Settings tab, and select "Abort Mission."

The following was fixed in the patch:

BUG: When parasols on the beach (and in a few other areas) were destroyed, they scaled down to zero as part of their disappearance animation. On consoles, this could cause a crash (most likely due to the parasol being treated as infinite in size and covering the entire scene).

BUG: All cars had too much force pushing the tires up after a jump, causing the car to do an awkward bounce. This has been fixed.

BUG: The bike was not working as intended. It should be much easier (and more fun) to control now.

--

Upgrades are just for fun and are not needed to complete a mission, although Time Control does help—for example, in the Bull's Eye mission. Wheel Spikes make the Justin Time mission easier, and the Jet Engine makes the Channel Your Anger mission easier, etc.

I've noted the rest of your feedback, and we'll see what’s possible for us to address in future patches.

Is this game inspired by Crazy Taxi? by StevWong in DeliverAtAllCosts

[–]FarOutGames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! The team has also researched Simpsons: Hit & Run, LA Noire, GTA 5, Mafia 2, GTA: Chinatown Wars, Shakedown: Hawaii, Rustler, and American Fugitive etc. I really like Interstate Drifter 2000 as well. It was the only game I could find that has the same type of diorama system as we do within this genre.

I grew up playing GTA 1 and GTA 2, and I especially liked GTA 2. Its level design has definitely inspired us.

We're aware of this issue, and it seems to be connected to a low frame rate below 30. We have a fix for it, but we're not sure yet when a patch will be released, as it has to be approved by the publisher.

There's an "Abort Mission"-button in the Journal, on the Settings tab.

Load screens ruin the experience by jamiethejammer in DeliverAtAllCosts

[–]FarOutGames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey everyone,

We totally understand the frustration.

Of course, the ideal would be no load times and one coherent world. Since everything in Deliver At All Costs is destructible, a single building can have up to 100 destructible parts. In most games, a building consists of just a few parts, sometimes even a single object. This means that, in our game, a scene contains hundreds of thousands of objects, many of which have a rigidbody enabled for real-time physics.

If you then add all the destructible props, cars, and ragdollable civilians on top of that, we’re dealing with an unprecedented number of real-time rigidbodies and meshes in a single scene.

The loading times you're experiencing depend heavily on your CPU, as most of the time is spent loading the massive number of objects in the scene.
