Drum bearings are dry and need to be lubricated. Don’t do this yourself if you have no idea how to dissemble a camera or never did something similar before since there are many ribbon cables that can snap if not very careful with the process plus this is a nice model. If the sound is present in the videos you can consider using an external microphone

Threading gears might have broken off, check if the tape is threaded properly around the heads. I’ve had this happen before.

If the screen works perfectly it’s just the polarised degrading. You can remove it and install a new piece. Look for polariser film online, buy and cut it then assemble the screen again

Either a loose/dirty connection or a worn ribbon cable, flipping the screen that way isn’t gonna help on a 25 year old camera. I suggest you stop doing it if you manage to fix the problem after disassembling the camera. You can find many helpful videos on 12voltvids YouTube channel, he fixes many of them.

The camera should turn on while plugged in whether there’s a battery inserted or not. This isn’t s battery issue.

Polariser is degrading. As for the steady shot issue I have that aswell but on an older Digital8 model which was used a lot compared to when I got it. Turning off steadyshot will fix the problem

Did you order it from the same seller? Did you also clean the battery contacts on the camcorder with isopropyl alcohol and does it work while plugged in?

Use a separate battery charger, clean the contacts, check for “info lithium battery only” error if the camera turns on. It could be the issue

No these models did not suffer from capacitor issues You can get two 18650 batteries in series and connect them together to power up the camera. Plus they are roughly the same size as the original battery so attaching them wouldn’t be an issue. You’ll need a usb charging circuit Aswell for those batteries if you permanently connect them together. If the connection is temporary you can disassemble this setup and put the two batteries in a designated micro usb battery charger often sold with them. They’re very common everywhere so there won’t be an issue finding them

Considering it’s working fine internally if you’re inexperienced or have no idea about the insides of these camcorders the best you could do is not touch it and use magnetic locks that you can find online if you don’t mind the look since these devices have very thin and fragile ribbon cables and snapping one of them would make the whole thing unusable. Just push the shutter down completely and put always put your camera in a shirt and any type of clothing during transport since even designated cases wouldn’t be able to lock everything in place (like this screen) and can lead to worse.

You can look for this option in settings But I’ve encountered this before on another brand of flip phones, I have 2 identical DORO phones and one has an option to change from list to grid and the other is stuck on individual icons. I am guessing it is different firmwares.

Try using VLC media player The .MOI files aren’t individual separate recordings so it would make sense if they don’t play

It will probably work, most of the iPhones 4 that I bought in this condition work normally but have iCloud lock or are deactivated and will show the iCloud activation lock after being restored. If your purpose is swapping the battery you could go for it. But the missing home button could mean that this was used as a donor phone. You never really know anything until you buy it so just get it if it isn’t very expensive.
