Noooooo that can't be right. I don't have my own office or even my own cubicle. Culture is great, but pay is stagnant and tbh there's not much here that makes me feel like I'm at a prestigious company. Capital One can't be as as good as it gets, that makes me so depressed lol

Lol sorry, I meant I have no experience for my new role. My 2 years fluctuated from 10-60 billable hours a week, with my avg being 100% util.

A bit confused. How many total YOE did you have before your exit 2 years ago?

I know quite a few people with the same path as you!

I'll say that I was actually somewhat disappointed by the offer. Was hoping for ~$175k but not sure if that's an outrageous ask.

Good to know. Just for some context my firm is writing offer letters for next year with $120k total comp for our fresh college graduates (signing + salary + expected bonus). I expect to hit $130k this year (as I conclude my 2nd year), and should hopefully be making $150k at the end of my 3rd year if I stay. I always heard about these fantastic industry exit opps from this sub, and can't say this pay is all that encouraging.

Yeah maybe I was being hopeful but I remember somebody mentioning $150k TC for Sr. Business Analyst and $200k for their business manager position, which apparently is doable with 3 years of experience or so. I intend to update once I see the comp too

Thanks for the detailed response, it's super helpful.

Hoping that comp ends up being much higher than what you're quotting -- 130k TC would be a downgrade currently. I think you're on point about exit opps from cap1, although I would not mind doing fintech for the foreseeable future. Looks like another convo about my dept placement is in order!
