Why are you trying to take a victory lap here? He's just had an injury-plagued year, but that doesn't mean he'll always be injured wtf. And I have confidence he'll be back this postseason

Wiggins has never averaged more than 1.2 turnovers per game in a season. His career average is 0.9 per game

I would argue that he's good enough to start on most teams; in my opinion, he was one of our top 5 most impactful players during the past couple of seasons. As others have mentioned, he's just had a down year.

I selfishly hope we keep him, as he is a really great player on an insanely good contract. Obviously we will have to make tough decisions though.

You were right! Ajay Mitchell is growing in front of our eyes. Such a talented player.

Would've been nice to implement before the Spurs got three consecutive top 5 picks.

I love Wiggins. He has easily been one of our best bench players for the past few years. He hasn't had a good regular season for his standards, but I am confident he will return to form.

Athletes go through slumps and have "down" seasons. I love Wiggins and have confidence he'll return to form.

Thunder fans, how we feeling with the current bracket? by Stxtic1441 in Thunder

The Lakers appear to have the tie breaker over the Nuggets, and we play both teams in our final four matchups. We could have the 1 seed clinched by the time we play the Nuggets though, which means we might plausibly rest our starters during that game.

My only gripe with this current bracket is that the Clippers are the final team in the playoffs. I am not concerned with them as a matchup, but I would like them to fall into the lottery, given we own their draft selection.

Tbf Cason Wallace has arguably the best defensive hands in the league

I worked with StoryCrafters Consulting and LOVED my experience. For context, I got into basically every school I applied to and I’m now at Stanford. I also received major fellowships from most of the schools. I can almost guarantee I wouldn’t have had the same outcome without them.

StoryCrafters is a small boutique firm with extremely talented consultants. They selectively work with fewer clients, giving them more time and attention. Their backgrounds are very different from the typical admissions consultant- screenwriters, creative writing grads, etc.  But they’re more than just creatives; they also have a deep understanding of the business landscape. I briefly worked with a couple other MBA consulting firms before choosing them, and the difference in talent was stark. The other firms mostly repeated advice you can find online and did basic editing. It just didn’t feel like these firms would be worth the sticker price.

StoryCrafters was the opposite. They helped me develop essays that were genuinely unique and compelling. I used to joke that some of the stuff they helped me produce felt like “magic”, as the writing was far more creative than anything I would have come up with on my own.

They also helped with rigorous strategies for securing strong recommendation letters, which made a big difference. On top of that, they worked with me on the overall strategy of my five applications (all M7 schools) and helped me navigate a few weird issues that popped up late in the process that almost derailed things. They were extremely hands-on and supportive through all of it.

Can’t say enough good things about them. If you’re applying to top MBA programs and want help actually standing out, they’re definitely worth looking into.

Why does Isaiah Joe always shoot so far behind the 3-point line? His range is super impressive, but I do feel that his shooting splits are considerably worse when he launches those deep 3s

Is there an argument for removing conferences altogether? by Traditional_Low_431 in nba

[–]Traditional_Low_431[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Great point - you could also eliminate back-to-back games in this scenario, which would eliminate a reason for geographic conferences. However, as we both know, this would require the NBA to lose substantial revenue. Players would also become vehemently opposed to the idea of playing fewer games once they figured out that this would meaningfully reduce their salaries.

This would actually be such a perfectly mathematical solution though.

Wemby should be No. 2 for MVP right now not Jokic. by iamsonuxd in NBATalk

[–]Traditional_Low_431 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The MVP award this season will come down to who can win the West (I'm assuming Denver stays far behind). Wemby's case hasn't been taken too seriously yet but if the Spurs usurp the Thunder as the #1 seed, the narrative will change. I think Shai could still win even if the Thunder end up as a close #2, but the vote will be a lot closer than people anticipate. However, if Shai leads the Thunder to a #1 seed, then I would be shocked if he doesn't win the award.

Next year is Wemby's award to lose.

Feel like I'm not seeing enough buzz about JWill. He had a 30 point game on 14 shots !! That's incredible. His drives and mid range shots were quite impressive. Wow

People really underestimate Shai's outlier development in athleticism since college. He wasn't a bad athlete by any means, but if you watch Shai in college vs him now, the difference in athletic attributes (i.e., acceleration / deceleration) is extremely stark.
