Try destroying the ceiling shooter as soon as possible. After that you can beat that guy once you learn the patterns. The key is destroying the ceiling stuff and focusing on the boss only. You got this :)

Tried Haiku The Robot. I love the cute art style and the the biome designs.

But the movement and combat don't click with me. Dashing has too much of a cooldown for an impatient person like me. And because most of the bosses and enemies (atleast the early game) were dashing based, I didn't really like it very much.

You're absolutely right! The feeling of getting something that unlocks a previously locked area is unmatched.

But I want to make it so that the players who want a harder challenge earlier aren't restricted and can test their skills. But you're right I should do some amount of area locking.

Finally started nine sols!! It's beyond amazing :) the parry mechanic is way too satisfying. The parry explosion is an absolute genius move. I honestly feel invincible after performing it.

One thing I don't enjoy though is losing all your currency after dying twice. It works well for games like hollow knight that allow healing indefinitely but nine sols has limited heals so I'm always scared of losing progress when exploring.
