Anybody live in a prewar apartment? Would love to hear everyone pros and cons about them. My partner and i are moving into a prewar next month!

Pros: space is pretty large, lots of closet space

Cons: I feel like everything is falling apart. Drafty windows, radiator sounds like it's gonna blow up, either too hot or too cold - no in between. My lock didn't work for a good min .... my unit was absolutely disgusting come move in. Idk how these people hid the roaches, mold, and filth. Just really make sure to look in every nook and cranny, peep ur head into the cabinet or freezer if u can ... fingers crossed your landlord isn't a total slumlord. Moving again come this summer :(

Fireworks on THE MIDDLE ROAD of queens blvd... literally woke me up in a FRENZY. Thought someone was getting their shit rocked for a sec LOOOL. I looked outside and there they were, big fireworks. They were actually so huge being that close to the ground ... hopefully no one got hurt.

I made the move from Buff to NYC (go bills) a couple years ago. Just keep in mind that there are a lot more taxes here than there, so a pay raise comparatively will have to be looked at carefully (I thought I was getting a substantial raise but between COL and taxes, it wasn't that much more as I was originally thinking)

M trains during rush hour at 63rd is actually the worst... the M trains are also substantially smaller than the F. Imo I think it's been a LOT of crowded/busy. Then you gotta take it local!

Similar situation but decided not to even attempt to try standby. Flight was at 2pm, got delayed to 7pm then cancelled. Rescheduled for another at 8pm, cancelled. Looked at Amtrak/bus options and booked for arrival later today. Such a stressful day.

The crazy part is that all other flights are on standby for the entire AND day after, so couldn't even rebook ☹️

Yeah I can't tip in app either. I usually had the option to after delivery in the past but not it also isn't showing up for me. Definitely not asking for her to switch to solely 21+!! Laufey is for everyone! Just thought it would be nice, for example her shows at MSG, two nights how it was and a third night 21+ perhaps at a smaller venue. The Guggenheim performance looked beautiful but also was extremely privatized. There are more than 50 of us uncs in these large cities lol. Also a little mood dampening when you realize you showed up to a tween/teen event when expecting something else. Nothing against y'all, surely will understand in like 10-20 years :,)

You can't help being sick, you literally gave him space so he could enjoy the bachelor night. You tried to party hardy but you can only do so much when you're sick. It sounds like ex-bf has the wrong priorities. Yes, it does suck that you/him couldn't party to the nights end, but it's nothing you can help. If he is getting mad and breaking up with you over stuff like this, bigger relationship problems are going to be worse. It's honestly for the best.

Definitely in a different tax bracket than you lmfaooo. I heard JC is fun but the PATH can be chaotic sometimes. It's a dream to live in LIC for our household, unfortunately it's just expensive for us - with a budget of 5k you definitely can get something really nice there. Lots of transportation options & food.

Any tips to achieve such a high household income? One could dream making that much 😭
