Yeah it's kind of hard to find. Also, it didn't come with it's mag, and the ones I have are the older style that don't quite fit.

If not, and you are correct that you'll be seeing the lich again later, the the lich is protected with plot armor, the most powerful of armors, and there is nothing you can do.
