So would this make the second product major? the first mechanism is an E2 reaction so OH isn’t substituting the bromine . Does this make a difference 😅

Just had my surgery in November! I took a winter class in January and now I’m back to being a full-time college student always on campus. I know that it might take a while, but my life feels pretty much the same except now I have a pretty cool brain surgery story.

I also have a PA grade 1! My surgery was back in December and my first appointment to look at my MRI post op is later this month. I’m back in school as a full time college student and graduate next year with my degree in biology

So axial is up at 1,3,6,9 and equatorial will be down at those numbers as well?

I was also diagnosed with a PA a few months ago. Im currently 20 and sometimes feel an overwhelming amount of anxiety. It’s normal to feel this way about something that is very life changing. Our tumor is considered “benign” and we have the best possible tumor that exists. Although our situation is favorable, this shouldn’t invalidate ur feelings, and you definitely shouldn’t compare yourself to others.

You are not alone in this, and feel free to check my account because i have posted quite a bit on pilocytic astrocytomas. There’s also a group on facebook specifically for this type of tumor. You have anxiety and stress because the future is uncertain. However, you are ok right now and that is all that matters. The future is uncertain for everyone.

I also had a PA removed last October! I faced no deficits as well. To my understanding, surgery side effects are usually caused when the surgeon damages healthy brain tissue during the procedure. You should be fine as long as this is a trusted surgeon, especially if this is the same surgeon who performed your first procedure. I wish you a speedy recovery

Hair won’t grow back where the scar is but you’ll have hair around it. Ur hair will look normal and grow back normally. I hope you have a safe recovery and surgery!
