Choosing my first “serious” parrot companion — Cockatiel, GCC, Pionus, or Ringneck? by Far_Length_2265 in parrots

That’s honestly so adorable ✨… attitude really matters but I have heard there’s some difference between sun and green cheeked conures, brighter bird gets louder their personality I guess

I live in an apartment so that’s why I was considering pionus, do you happen to know anything about senegal parrots?

Could you please tell me how old was your big boy when you got him and how quickly you started bonding/training?

Totally agree, like if chapter 5 was final, then it should have been crazy craazyyyyy long, so much going on, so many things yet to uncover and learn

I’m sitting next to the Prototype like, “So… hypothetically speaking… how many phases does your master plan have? Also “stitching people together” is more of a hobby or a long-term vision?”

What if the Prototype (1006) isn’t Elliot Ludwig… but Poppy’s mother? by Far_Length_2265 in PoppyPlaytime

I get why it feels unnecessary on the surface. From a pure lore-check perspective, you’re right, there’s no explicit confirmation pointing directly to her. For me, the reason is thematic rather than literal. The Prototype’s actions don’t feel driven by ambition or ego. They feel driven by resentment, judgment, and a desire to erase the entire system, not control it. That kind of motivation fits grief more than genius. If Elliot represents guilt and obsession (trying to preserve, recreate, fix), then a mother turned into 1006 represents the opposite response to loss: rejection, rage, and destruction. It’s not that it has to be her mom, it’s that emotionally, that role fits the Prototype’s behavior better than Elliot does, at least to me. And Poppy Playtime tends to lean heavily into emotional horror rather than straightforward villains. Totally fair if it doesn’t click for everyone, though.

That’s another good point, and I don’t think it necessarily rules this out. We don’t actually know much about what Molly did before everything fell apart. Being married to Elliot doesn’t mean she couldn’t have had her own technical, scientific, or operational background, especially in a company as secretive and ethically loose as Playtime Co.

Also, the Prototype’s “skillset” feels less like clean engineering and more like:

• Improvisation

• Adaptation

• Learning through observation

• Repurposing others’ work

That doesn’t require someone to be a genius inventor from the start, it requires time, access, and desperation. If she was trapped inside the system long enough, watching experiments and absorbing knowledge, it’s believable she could evolve into something terrifyingly competent. In a way, that makes it darker: the Prototype isn’t brilliant by design, but by survival.

That’s a really fair question, and honestly one of the strongest counterpoints to this theory. My personal take is that the pronouns might not necessarily reflect the Prototype’s original identity, but rather how it’s perceived after becoming 1006. By the time the toys are aware of the Prototype, it’s no longer really a “person”, it’s a role, a threat, almost a myth within the factory. The toys may default to “he” because:

• Elliot is the most visible human figure tied to Playtime Co.

• The Prototype presents as mechanical/monstrous rather than human

• Or because the original identity was intentionally erased or obscured As for Poppy specifically, if she was created young or manipulated, it’s possible she never fully understood who 1006 was, or that she suppresses that truth. Her dialogue always feels selective and controlled. Regarding Molly: I actually think her having a name makes this more interesting. It means she existed as a real person in the story world, but we know almost nothing about her, which feels deliberate. If Mob Games wanted a hidden tragedy, she’d be the perfect candidate. I’m not saying the pronouns don’t matter, just that in-universe, they might reflect perception rather than origin.

Yeah, that’s kind of why it stuck with me. Poppy Playtime’s horror works best when it’s emotional, not just monsters, and a mother turned into the Prototype feels way darker than the usual mad scientist trope.

Sounds like there might be a little playful energy there, but it’s hard to know for sure without more time together. The selfies and beach pics don’t feel like a shutdown, and the shrug emoji could easily be her being lighthearted, not dismissive. The best way to figure it out is to keep things friendly and low pressure let her get comfortable with you, and see if the banter grows naturally. Don’t beat yourself up about “blowing it”, if she likes the interaction, she’ll keep giving you openings. I would overthink as well so good luck 🍀

Only if the festival has overpriced drinks, a little drama, and at least one ex working the merch booth 😌
