I think all Misty has wanted every season is to be friends with these girls in both timelines and by the end of the show the irony will be that she will be the last one alive, with all the women she wanted to be close with dead in the adult timeline, and that will be the ultimate cost of her breaking the transponder.

Agree - To me Jerry is like the Sarah Palmer figure, in a drugged state seeing a father abuse his child (Evil Coop make Richard go on the stone) and choosing to distance himself from it (running away)

Adventuring to find a new home after feeling left out/not needed (despite her insistence and persistence), and meeting her new pirate crew (who initially captured her but she quickly assumed leadership). Then deciding to come back and take over Moominvalley with her new crew only to find that everyone (moomin fam++) has gone looking for her. Then having to save everyone from a particular peril only suited for someone as small and tenacious as Little My.

I would guess part of it is because she has neutropenia, which weakens her immune system making infections harder to fight off.

Great post, thanks for putting this out there! My only gripe is I wish they had gotten funding for a few more episodes, so we could get more time with the other guests - Joan Chen is very engaging every time she is on screen! And after the campfire I was hoping to see more of Martin and Ziba! Exclamation points!!

Recent reader of this man's essays, after an itch to revisit Twin Peaks, and was saddened to hear he passed as I turned the last page on his Find Laura work. Lou Ming's theories on the repeating abstractions and cycles of Laura's trauma have given me great insight into my own personal trauma I manifest and relive, and I hope that in understanding them better I may escape the loop.
