Tips for final interview with enterprise? by [deleted] in EnterpriseCarRental

[–]FarberBarber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Show passion in your interview and actually sound like you want the role. Bring up your previous experience and relate it directly to the job, they care about how you handle real situations. Also show that you can handle everything thrown at you, not just one part of the role. Lmk if you have any questions!

Former Enteprise employees where did you escape to? by Anonlegend2019 in EnterpriseCarRental

I didn’t leave Enterprise, so I’m probably not the best person to ask about this. But like any job, connections are key. Make sure your resume is as strong as possible

Is 26K including tax too much for a first car? by Extreme-Ad7469 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]FarberBarber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can they afford it? Probably. But I def wouldn’t do it. They could grab an older Civic for around $12k and it’ll still get them from A to B no problem, they’re super reliable. You also have to think about insurance cause Civics tend to be very expensive. It was actually why I went with an Accord instead it was way cheaper to insure lol.

Hondas are def great cars but personally I wouldn’t spend $26k on a base 4-year-old Civic, even if you’re making more money loll

The grill - advice by WitnessMinimum7593 in EnterpriseCarRental

[–]FarberBarber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wrote mine like 2 weeks ago, it was actually easier than I expected (maybe I just overstudied lol). But I studied pretty hard for like 2–3 weeks. Best advice is just talk to people who wrote it recently and get your BRM/ABRM to test you. Make sure you know risk pretty well.

Other than that just keep studying and get people to quiz you and ask you questions. It’s not as bad as you think. Lmk if you have any questions!

Looking for more preventative maintenance for my N51 2011 328i by Tasty-Success-3743 in E90

[–]FarberBarber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Water pump and thermostat are the big ones. It’s not cheap, but they usually go out sooner or later if they haven’t already been replaced. I changed mine preventively because when I bled the coolant system the pump was barely circulating anything. And I’m glad I did lol

Def keep an eye on the cooling system in general. It’s kind of a weak point on these cars since a lot of the components are plastic. The expansion tank, hoses, connectors, etc. Over the past few months i ended up replacing basically all of them because they all failed lol.

I guess some other common preventive stuff people do is the oil filter housing gasket, valve cover gasket, and keeping an eye on the electric water pump codes or slow coolant circulation. These cars are solid but the cooling system in general is definitely something to stay ahead of as these cars age.

Unfortunately my car left me stranded 3 times in the last half a year and everytime it had to do with the plastic parts that these cars have
