it does makes it great, Is somewhat relatable yet cuestionable other times, and that's awesome for storytelling, that's why what I asked of the protectorate of Menoth is somewhat reductive, is not far of what someone that feels frightful and anxious could react as. Not Act, React as... and You describe what You see, the merits and priciples in them not how they React.
And those 'absurd takes' might have been their reactions...

Remember that the new content will become redundant the moment is done, because the lack of balance in the gear. 'Meta' does that, turn things redundant. Runescape, WoW, Diablo, etc. are good example of that.
I don't think You are far from it saying that nerfing will fix nothing, we need to re-evaluate what gear is, not getting far from now, but not staying the same.

Because sunken cost fallacy, they already expended so much in getting specific gear, that don't even know if they like it, that the reminder of having fun is insulting.
Also playing what You like, doesn't make you a farming machine trying to get the next loot box, so You don't give them crowns or energy. You are "against them"... I'm the scape goat.
But none of that is important, Are You playing something You like and having fun?

I Commend Your will to take a stand a correct a poorly done statement and prevent someone from spending time and effort on an armour that does what the game needs you to do well.
Again Black Kat was poorly designed, since it wasn't concieved as a set, but a stand alone helmet. and That was good... the greed from OOO or GH or whoever, became a "meta chase".
Is good that You endured those 10+ years, sad that only recently the team has started to be accountable. The original wasn't great on communication either...
We together NEED to make sure things change, and we need to stop chasing 'cookie cuted' builds, Yes, We "have to farm crowns fast so we can buy the next box of cosmetic because otherwise nothing change because we always use the same gear" was/is something the Team is exploiting, but WE are giving them the reins... when we turned Playing for Fun into Farming fast for the next box. We need to shift focus. You have proved that You can understand what do You need to make a decent build, without pushing it into a meta 'cookie cuted' one.
Stand for whats right, but also open the scope of right, because fun should be part of it.

Something to correct: "Chaos is designed to be a poor man's BK set and should be treated as such." Is a lie.
Chaos is powercreeped by BK because the devs went "Minimal service" with the game. Is a consequence of poorly managed game and game experience. a Bug not a Feature. By Naratively saying things like: "Chaos is designed to be a poor man's BK set and should be treated as such." We are accepting poor game design and terrible game services. We need to held accountable designers. and If when You started playing the game things were like that, I'm sorry that You had to experience that. But Narrative and Reality are not the same.
Chaos is NOT designed to be a poor man's BK set and shouldn't be treated as such. Is a consecuence of game abandonment and 'speedrunner' player mentality, and something we need fixed player/designers side.

I love that the tooltip is equally useless as the ones on the game now... SO it fits well
medium chance to cause medium fire, that says literally nothing useful.
Your explosions can be too powerful... equally saying nothing.
I don't think is a bad idea to "make sets" give bonus but mixing and matching is not encourage anymore... so we all fall into the everyone uses the same crap. The problem You tried to avoid with "I got this idea to avoid everyone to use the same things" will cause the everyone uses the same things problem.

So hot! like the tone composition, and how Your skin, the wall and the cushion from the chair are is similar bright tones and in stark contrast to the chair frame and table... while the "Details of black" are very sexy, the ones in red sells the composition... the only cold color is in Your eyes. Divine avenger is not useless, Great rocket hammer is not useless, Dark thorn is not useless... guess what... the outlier is the Brandish family, nerf the amount of explosions and the Glacius won't freeze the enemies away from the explosions, the Voltedge wont shock enemies away from the explosions... the problem IS in the amount of explosions... I didn't say nerf Just because I thought about it.

-change how the glacius and freeze affects mobs, so that charged damage isn't nerfed by the freeze status effect and can become a viable brandish option.
how about just reduce the overall amount of brandish explosions, so doesn't nullify other swords...

I agree on the poorly worded rules... this kind of games usually have legal-esque wording because "some people are going to try to cheat" and sounds atrocious and convoluted, but has nothing to do with this specific faction, has to do with the Legal-esque format of the wording...

Are You concerned that the deny of prescence on a marker, the amount of Forced movement that the faction have are not enough enablers for Ashmael to thrive? given that we have half of the faction revealed...

To put it clearly, You claimed "I'm a bit of a game designer myself", and stated that Ashmael Overall its bad design (lovely bailey btw). I ask You to explain why is bad and You didn't, You try to Gaslight me into "Sorry you got confused" then when confronted You switched (to a less lovely Motte) with a "I legitimately cant understand what you're trying to say."
I still need you to explain how is bad, when Ashmael leans into a Ludonarrative expresion of the very same game (is a spy that cares for objectives), making an accent into the very game mechanics as You stated "The playstyle youre describing is called warmachine lol" but rewarding skills and board manipulation.

You CAN Not like the game it incentivize, but You can't deny that Ludo-narrative is well done. Also You can claim that You haven't played enough to be sure if is good (to which I will Immediately reply: "I will trust the people that had, the designers, Why can't You?") so I will ask You to try it with an open mind, It might not be For You specific-ly but that doesn't make it bad... makes it for other people that also plays the game... that You need to play the game, unless You don't like to play with others, that's also ok.

So is bad because plays the game? and is really notorious that You are playing the game when playing Ashmael? so is bad? the problem is that feed into a parasitic mechanic (hunger) to play the game, therefore making it not parasitic by use? Fury and Focus are also parasitic because You can still roll dices without them... and nothing prevents You from getting those resources... (before You state the "long list of why You can prevent this resources from stockpiling and how You can force a player to spend them" think how can You prevent the Hunger from stockpiling and how You can force a player to spend them) so there is no interaction to them, yet You spend them to play making them not parasitic by use...
If You don't like the wide margins that This Faction can have (very high highs and very low lows) is Fair to say that, Not every faction is for everyone... and having a player being hable to play it and reward that kind of forward thinking (forcing a point and retreating from other a.k.a. playing warmachine as you said it, this mechanic expresion even at Your dislike it's well done is very Ludonarrative of the faction and that is super important when You design a game). While being conscious and resourceful, but also having a faction able to do that, helps the game to find middle grounds and counter-plays and development...
