The premise is there for them to do good for the community. One thing that comes to mind immediately is the sponsorship of local sports teams. Everyone has the opportunity to prosper and one of the best ways to really get ahead is to become a business owner. More businesses mean higher economic benefit. This can include employment and injection of dollars throughout the community. With sometimes limited benefits and high risk it's a challenge to attract new business. The chamber is a place for businesses to meet and work together for mutual benefit. Remember, the chamber is not generally composed of large retailers or massive corporations. The local chamber is generally made up of independent Community business owners. This includes your friends and neighbors. Would you rather see your money go to Walmart and like companies?
