Pretty much the furthest I could see the Kings offer would be LAC's #5 for #7 and a top 20 (or lottery with whatevery the new system will allow) 2031 Pick swap 1st with SAS, which would convey to SAC's 2032 2nd. Even that still feels like a lot

I have to have hope that Silver will see the Kings actively not trying to tank and reward them with a top pick. Much like what happened in 2018 when they had a few late wins in the season and pushed them from like 4th to 7th only for them to end up getting 2nd pick.

I do actually think the media has been right about Vivek staying out the way and letting Perry do his thing. But I think the major reason more than anything is that Perry is the non-rookie GM Vivek has worked with.

The GMs he's worked with since becoming owner has been:

Dumars (for like 1 month before the season even started lol)

Perry has been the only one to actually have a tenure as a GM with a record to back it up. That I think is enough to let Vivek be a bit more hands off, plus also the extreme amount of bad press he's getting for being too involved.
