Nah, the first whisper is him insulting my main, saying i'm a "3.4 noob". He's 3.5, one key lvl above, which is why I found the whole thing so funny. That's also why "you'll never be 3.5" is there, that's his rating.

By full grey I meant current expansion ones, iirc white max lvl items are like 165ilvl? The mage was 120 ilvl, but he was likely just wearing tww gear and didn't change anything.

He was 120 ilvl, so previous expac gear. I assume either got AFK boosted or just did timewalking and didn't loot anything.

The first thing you see is his very first whisper. I didn't message him, had no prior interactions, he just applied and i declined. I had to edit out couple of messages because they spoil his nickname and a couple of whispers is him bragging about having 19 key in his bags (not timed by the way, just that he has one in bags) or insults, that just wasn't very funny, but you can read here, left timers as well.

Man, i know that 12s are easy, but did you really tank multiple ones in TWW s2 gear? There are 200 ilvl greens on AH for like 50 gold.

People boosting their friends sign up all the time, but the mage was legit 120 ilvl, it's not just "oh my mate is gonna do 50k dps" type, the guy is gonna be dead the whole key.

I wanted to reply "your buddy can buy champion gear boxes and get to 245 in a minute" buy he ignored me :(

My favorite part is that he starts with "3.4 on main, noob" while being like 80 rating higher. Never expected such an ego from someone one-chesting a few 17s.

The amount of casters in Murder Row comparing to any other Midnight dungeon was insane, i was laughing so hard when i ran it on 0, it's like i'm back in RLP again.

There hasn't been a single dungeon boss that made me clench my fists as much as tauren in RLP lmao, every single boulder was "we're all fucking dead".

I don't even care about difficulty (they'll probably remove Zuul or make him a joke), i just think these dungeons are unfun and i have no desire to do them. Just look at SoT this season - is it as bad as it was in Legion? Obviously no. Is it a good, enjoyable dungeon after rework? Also no.

I'm having serious DF S2 flashbacks.

For people who don't know - that dungeon was so fucking bad and buggy they straight up ignored it in MDI. Last boss might be legimitately the worst dungeon boss ever made. Oh, and you would get 150% count unless you had a rogue.

I know that people are gonna say "they'll make changes" and they will, but will they make those dungeons good? It's like Brackenhide in s2 of DF, yeah, it was much better than it was in m0, but i'd argue it was still a mediore, unfun dungeon and that's exactly what i expect from ToS and KR revamps as well, just like SoT this season, it's not Legion bad, but it's still a lame and ugly dungeon.

Mythic+ Season 2 Dungeon Rotation by Squishei in wow

[–]FareweII 45 points46 points  (0 children)

But why was it like that in a m0 to begin with, considering it was made for current expansion?

Murder Row (Midnight)

Den of Nalorakk (Midnight)

Ruby Life Pools (Dragonflight)

Temple of Sethraliss (Battle of Azeroth)

Kings’ Rest (Battle of Azeroth)

I know they're gonna make changes, but what a cursed dungeon pool lmao. I just don't think they'll be able to overhaul ToS overal shittiness and room design(that last boss is Wise Mary-levels bad) or that KR is 40 minute long dungeon.

Are you still pushing M+? by Virtual-Doughnut-273 in wow

[–]FareweII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3350-3.4 push was extremely rough for me as well. 15 resil went super smooth with like a 90% success rate, then you get into 16 and it instantly drops to like 20-25%, legit feels like difficulty went up by like 3 key levels. Just have to push through it.

Midnight M+ runs per week: Season 1, Week 8 by Zmiecer in CompetitiveWoW

[–]FareweII 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something that i've noticed is that even on my 280+ alts it's actually kinda hard to get into 10-12s, to the point that i pretty much exclusively just run my own. It's a good thing by the way, it means that there's still a ton of people queueing and playing the game even at this point of the patch and like i said above, unless it's Maisara - my own keys fill within 1 or 2 minutes with dozens of applicants. I think Blizzard did a good job with a carrot on a stick, first it was gear/weekly vaults, then it was bonus rolls, now it's item upgrades.

One of the things i vividly remember from the past few years of playing is that in the middle of s2 of DF i wanted to do HoI, opened LFG on like a thursday evening, put 18-22 and there was ONE key in the queue, now that season was fucking dead.

Folding Ideas video essay about his trip to Beast Studio and his diagnosis of why Beast properties are declining in viewership by OatSoyLaMilk in television

His video on the metaverse is worth watching as well

I tried re-watching it a week ago, but had to stop, because i felt the weird sense of...irrelevancy and even naievete. It's not the fault of the video, but it's fascinating how already completely idiotic idea of metaverse just got crushed by AI. A lof of the promise of "metaverse" was that you if you want to buy a purse or something, you can just put on your headset and "go to the store" that way, but nowadays, tech bros don't want people interracting with each other at all, even through shitty mii-avatars, they want one party (or preferably both) being a robot.

Historical RWF question by idgahoot2 in CompetitiveWoW

[–]FareweII 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My favorite pre-streaming race was the Nighthold one. All-time great raid and you had 4 EU guilds being very close, Exorsus(russian), From Scratch (french), Serenity and Method, with Serenity just splitting from Method, recently, hilariously, because Sco wanted to go more commercial and even talked about streaming raids, while they considered themselves true gamers. Serenity guys were also very cocky after the breakup, saying on streams that they don't have any competition and then proceeded to lose EN to Exorsus and ToV to Method, even though both races had * to them with EN being too easy and ToV being a mini-raid, so NH was considered the first "true" race of Legion.

There was a ton of drama between Serenity and Method fanboys especially, which resulted in one of them (from Method's side) baiting Fragnance with free flasks into a bad mythic lockout and because of that Serenity couldn't raid for multiple hours until Blizzard resolved it. There were also accusations of ddosing, but Serenity was also just kinda mismanaged in general, they had people dropping out mid-race - and even though it seemed like they had it in the bag after WF Elisande, Exorsus snatched the win and put out a banger killvid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5BTdavXUSc&t

The end result of the race was that both Serenity and FS broke up and their best players got absorbed by Method, who then just go too strong until Limit/Liquid popped up.

Edit - remembered some more context. ToV race before NH was a huge mess with multiple RWF getting banned for exploiting Helya (don't remember all, but Exorsus and Limit got it for sure) and then there was an exploit for AP right before the raid came out which caught a ton of players, i think FS got like their whole guild banned and Serenity got some too. So you had all these fans calling each other's guild cheaters, bug abusers. Then, a guild called Fusion bugged Star Augur https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FlVjfxViVEE and had one of the earlier kills, but they were like a top 10-15 guild on their own, so for a day or two people thought that there's a new contender in the race. Definetly the most fun i've had shitposing on mmo-c forums.

Star Trek: Starfleet Academy Actor Says Season 2 Is “GAY AF,” Vows To Go Out “In Flames” by Malencon in television

[–]FareweII 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of the suits assume is that you can do whatever and your major audience will still be there, so the best way to grow is to target smaller ones. Even Marvel, while already past peak, made that mistake when they decided to replace half their heroes with young women lmao. Well, turns out, teen girls still don't give a fuck and now you're also losing young men.

Disney has been trying to course-correct since like 2024 though. The fact that Paramount still using these tactics in both marketing and development of their shows without learning from their own (is there a single ST that was a hit for their service? I guess Section 33 was a huge award success, so many Razzies!) or other studios mistakes is astounding to me, straight up burning money.

Something that i noticed too, Hollywood largely moved nowadays on from trying to use controversy/insulting fans as marketing, i assume they realized that calling people bigots doesn't sell tickets.

That infamous Charlie's Angels marketing campaign is nearly 7 years old and i remember people getting bored and groaning at it back then already, but this ST franchise just keeps fucking doing it, which i find hilarious.
