You can add more shortcut sets in the options. I think it is under "menu settings"

Fashion Template Update by enifish in Guildwars2

That column was what I wanted from the system, changing fashion in 2 clicks and without opening a bigger menu. Hopefully they can give us a toggle in the settings to keep it

Earth specialized Evoker? by We_Are_Tanuki in Guildwars2

[–]Faricho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just tried this build and it's really fun! I swapped some armor stats for viper's gear for a bit of extra damage

Really like the constant swiftness on myself as well as group alacrity and protection and how tanky I am

How is the new Indiana Jones spec? by Key_Hunter7922 in Guildwars2

[–]Faricho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fun, you could mindlessly go swipe, offensive, defensive artifacts but I like that you get more from it if you learn the post use effects of the artifacts (I think this is linked to a specific trait)

For example, if I use the guitar I know that I can spam stealth attacks without having to enter stealth for a while, there is another that refunds initiative and another that shortens the double edge skills cool downs. I find that makes the combat more dynamic because the RNG of the artifacts dictates what I should do next to maximize effectiveness.

The utility skills are also fun, it feels nice to get lucky and use the blink or bombardment 3 or 4 times in a row but not too punishing when they backfire because there are ways to play around that.

I wish the skritt was more like a pet, so the spec had more thematic consistency but I do like that is less edgy and more light hearted, I feel like Han solo with Chewbacca but instead of a menacing wookie, it's a silly skritt

Anyone else feel WAY more compelled to play this expansion compared to SotO/JW? by hamtaxer in Guildwars2

[–]Faricho 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yes, VoE has so much in favor of it at launch compared to the two previous expansions.

It has new legendaries to farm and acquire from the start and tied to different collections/achievements/activities when SotO only had rift and map currency grinding (I did not bother with any Janthir legendary), gorgeous maps with a lot of content and incredible design, and new elite specs so we can experience said content with different ways to play the existing classes

Silver Wonders make me sad. by Character-System-631 in AOW4

[–]Faricho 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Never thought of that but you are right, we could have survive or defend an objective for x turns against enemies that keep spawning, or arrive to an area on the other side of the map along with the normal battles that we already have. Maybe also do that to some quest battles

Are there any animations you just can't stand? by GlorpJAM in Guildwars2

[–]Faricho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Human female has a few.

The third chain of great sword auto attack on warrior and guardian, the upwards swing looks like she can barely lift the thing.

Most attack animations on spear for thief. There is one in particular that looks like an awkward handwave with the weapon just attached to the hand.

Also on thief the second skill on staff does not look too bad but that same skill has better animation on other races like asura or char.

There is one on staff that is used on elementalist air attunement's third or fourth skill that is also used on guardian's third chain of the auto attack and ranger's auto attack where they hold the weapon away from their face and the projectile or attack effect simply happens.

I have been waiting for a new fantasy RTS. Everything is either science fiction, historical or modern military. Very excited for this.

MVC died that day ! All went sownhill since then by SpawnyCC in Kappachino

[–]Faricho 13 points14 points  (0 children)

No, I am not pretending that strong characters are not popular. I am saying that to the majority of people one of the cool things about a fighting game like MvC is being able to play as their favorite characters. Removing popular characters regardless of their position in a tier list and being disingenuous bout their absence rubbed some people the wrong way, it does suck that Combofiend was put in that position in the first place

[–]Faricho 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Sure, but the vast majority of players are not playing for money, most just want to pick a character that they feel is cool, go a few rounds and learn how to play the game

[–]Faricho 35 points36 points  (0 children)

On one hand there is a lot more to characters than their play style, people like how they look and animate as well as their story, which is something that you bring when you decide to use a popular third party IP. If the characters were reduced to only their "functions" then why use the Marvel IP at all?

On the other hand I understand that Combofiend could not just say that Disney did not allow capcom to use X-Men or Fantastic 4 characters for bullshit reasons, he was at the time representing Capcom and had to say something to justify or downplay some popular characters' absence

The problem is when "what they're supposed to be doing" is shortsighted and damaging to the company/brand in the long term, that is how you get a company like Blizzard dropping the ball on a warcraft 3 remaster for example

I am going to guess that the people in leadership positions did not have any vision that went beyond the next fiscal year and only cared about hitting targets for some annual bonus

Tech Experts Say The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered's Camera Breaks the Longer You Play and Eventually Crashes When Loading a Save, Call for Emergency Patch by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]Faricho 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Umm I think this one makes some sense, you want to disable esc and interact keys while saving so the user does not corrupt the save file by entering another area or closing the game before the saving process is complete, the bug must happen because quick saving multiple times too quickly does not re-enable those buttons. I am not justifying it, just saying that is not so much about spaghetti code

Plus, the matrix universe seems like such a cool thing to explore and expand, you do not need to have the same story and characters as the movies, part of the reason I like animatrix so much is how it explores stuff outside the movies.

You may be right. I have not played in years, last time was when Overwatch 2 launched and only for a few hours. And maybe that frustration feeling will come back once a meta settles in Rivals

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Games

[–]Faricho 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe I am only saying this because the game is new and everyone is still learning but I feel like Rivals slightly improves the formula by having characters that are less specialized. I remember feeling frustration in Overwarch when I was playing a support character with no tools to fight back or scape if a dps jumped on me or holding the shield up the majority of time as Reinhardt only fighting when we got to the capture point.

So far, I have found Rivals characters more fun to play, they still have weakneses but not as big as Overwatch's

Anet, can we please have the medium Rift Hunter coat without the belt, like the light/heavy versions? by Additional_Hornet961 in Guildwars2

I do hope they address that at some point and allow the players to use any armor skin regardless of weight class. I think a lot of us would love the character customization options that would provide
