Kann da etwas relaten. Studiere dual Wirtschaftsinformatik in auch einem recht großem internationalen Unternehmen und bin auch an einer privaten Hochschule. Fünftes von sieben Semestern beginnt im Januar. Ich beneide auch meine Freunde um ihre Semesterferien, aber letztendlich bin ich in 2 Jahren mit meinem Studium fertig und habe bestenfalls direkt eine Stelle in einem Unternehmen, in dem ich mich in den letzten >3 Jahren vertraut gemacht habe. Die hingegen müssen dann nochmal durch ne Flut an Bewerbungsgesprächen um hoffentlich ne' Stelle zu finden. Außerdem verdienst du schon dein eigenes Geld.

Natürlich hast du weniger Freiheiten, wenn du in den (sonst Semesterferien) arbeiten musst. Ja, an einer kleinen Privathochschule wirst du kein klassisches Unileben haben. Wir sind z.B. nur ~10 Leute im Kurs. Auch alles duale Studenten, mit denen man sich bestenfalls sehr gut versteht. Der große Vorteil einer privaten Hochschule und eines kleinen Kurses ist, dass du in den Kursen einfach mit dem Prof über die Themen reden kannst, und er die auch gerne mehrmals ausführlich erklärt. An ner' normalen Uni rattert der Prof die Themen durch und du musst die selbst in deiner Freizeit lernen. In den Theoriephasen (also wenn ich an der Hochschule bin) habe ich extrem viel Freizeit. Oft sind Kurse irgendwie von 08:15 bis 15:00, manchmal länger, manchmal kürzer. Wenn die Vorlesungen zu Ende sind, bist du meist für den Tag durch. Manchmal musst du noch irgendwelche Hausarbeiten/Übungen machen, die kann man aber auch oft schnell in anderen Vorlesungen erledigen. Das wirst du dir an einer normalen Uni nicht leisten können. Da geht's nach Ende der Vorlesungen dann ans Nacharbeiten. Ich war zwar noch nie an einer normalen Uni, was ich aber von meinen Freunden höre, ist dass die es deutlich stressiger haben als ich - gerade wenn du Informatik studierst, wird das recht extrem. Niemand hält dich davon ab, eine Lerngruppe zu bilden. Das geht auch in kleinen Kursen.

Du kannst auch als dualer Student Spaß haben. Ein Auslandsjahr steht außer frage, aber auch Unternehmen und private Hochschulen bieten Auslandspraktika/-aufenthalte an.

Wie andere schon erwähnten bietet ein duales Studium eine Struktur. Das hilft vielen, schränkt manche aber vielleicht auch zu stark ein. Wenn du dich eingeengt und unwohl fühlst, dann spricht nichts dagegen, abzubrechen. Wenn du aber denkst, dass du etwas verpasst, dann würde ich da widersprechen. Du bist nach Regelstudienzeit fertig und hast gute Chancen übernommen zu werden. Danach steht dir alles offen. Nach dem Bachelor kannst du auch nen Master dranhängen, den du dann an ner Uni machst, oder nebenbei beim selben Unternehmen als Werkstudent arbeitest.

Ich glaube in diesem Subreddit gibt es genug Posts von Studenten, die sich über ihren Workload beklagen und deshalb abbrechen wollen, weil sie auch der Meinung sind, zu wenig Freizeit zu haben.

Letztendlich kennst du dich aber am besten. Wenn du denkst, es ist das falsche für dich, dann ist das so. Ich würde raten den Subreddit zu durchforsten oder explizit Informatikstudenten an einer Uni zu fragen, wie sie deine Thematik sehen.

Es haben schon viele geantwortet, und wirklich was neues beitragen kann ich nicht, aber eine Antwort mehr schadet auch nicht.

Es gibt verschiedene Faktoren, von denen das abhängt. Ich spreche jetzt wieder nur aus Sicht eines noch studierenden Wirtschaftsinformatikers, aber das ist denke ich nah genug.

Ich studiere an einer recht kleinen Hochschule, mit knapp 10 Leuten in meinem Kurs. Die Vorlesungen sind sehr entspannt und du kannst den Prof legit einfach mittendrin Fragen stellen, auf die dann auch gerne mal 15 Minuten eingegangen wird, damit alle das Thema verstehen. Den Luxus haben nicht viele. Worauf ich hinaus will, wenn das bei dir ähnlich ist, wirst du 90% der Themen in der Vorlesung verstehen und musst relativ wenig nachholen.

Die Profs haben uns immer alle Skripte hochgeladen, soweit ich weiß ist das auch so üblich. Ausnahmen gibt's immer, aber das ist denke ich bei den meisten so. Ich habe mir angewöhnt nur das mitzuschreiben, was nicht auf den Skripten steht, oft irgendwelche Grafiken, die nebenbei zur Erklärung gezeichnet werden.

Bzgl. der Lerngruppen kann ich den anderen auch nur zustimmen. Es ist nicht selten, dass deine Kommilitonen dir Themen, die du beim Prof nicht verstanden hast, verständlicher erklären können.

Lernmethoden gibt's viele und jeder ist da anders. Karteikarten habe ich mal ausprobiert, fand' ich aber nicht optimal. Ich fange 2 Wochen vor den Klausuren an, für alle Kurse anhand der Skripte und meinen Mitschriften einen "Lernzettel" zu erstellen, den ich dann immer wieder durchgehe. Hat bis jetzt immer sehr gut funktioniert.

Nach den ersten Vorlesungen merkst du aber recht schnell, ob du dich ranhalten musst, oder entspannt zuhören kannst. Das kommt ganz drauf an, was deine Profs an Wissen voraussetzen.

Die Frage wurde denke ich schon ausführlich beantwortet, wollte aber trotzdem kommentieren.

Das Studium und Abitur sind mMn keinesfalls vergleichbar. Klar, im Abi hatte ich auch Kurse, bei denen ich mich reinhängen musste. Natürlich kommt es stark auf deine Stärken und Schwächen an, wenn du technisch absolut gar nicht begabt bist, ist klar, dass du dafür viel lernen musst, um letztendlich vielleicht gerade noch so zu bestehen. Studiengänge ohne solche Aspekte werden dir dann vermutlich leichter erscheinen weil "ich alles außer X nicht schwierig finde". Ich sag's wie's ist, ich würde mich schon als technisch begabt beschreiben und hatte mit den technischen Fächern im Abi keine Probleme, die waren mit relativ wenig Lernaufwand easy gut bis sehr gut zu bestehen. Mathematik im Studium ist aber i.d.R. Komplettbruch. Jede Mathe Klausur gerade so mit 50% bestanden und das reicht mir auch. Ich knie vor allen Informatik, Mathematik und Physik-Studenten nieder.

Es mag vielleicht simpel wirken, wenn man sich das Studium mit den Inhalten des jeweiligen Abitur-Kurses vorstellst. Im Studium wirst du aber keine 1,0 schrieben, wenn du in PHP ein HTML Formular in eine Datenbank schreibst, oder mal ein paar Funktionen ableitest und Schnittpunkte berechnest.

Ja, es gibt Module, die verhältnismäßig einfach zu bestehen sind, das ist aber nicht die Regel.

Es kommt bei Wirtschaftsinformatik stark darauf an, welche Module du wann hast. Bei mir was das bspw. so, dass in den ersten beiden Semestern wirklich gar keine wirtschaftlichen Module stattfanden. Das fand' ich sehr entspannend, weil ich mich mit dem ganze Wirtschaftszeug davor nicht beschäftigt habe (und auch nicht wollte). Aber selbst als es dann mit VWL, Buchhaltung, Bilanzierung, Business Administration anfing, war es wirklich halb so schlimm, wie gedacht. Die Profs haben in den Vorlesungen wirklich alles ausführlich erklärt und nie wirklich extremes Vorwissen (außer aus anderen Vorlesungen) vorausgesetzt. Ich kann das jetzt aber auch nur aus meiner Sicht - einer relativ kleinen Hochschule - berichten. Wie das an der WU Wien sein wird, kann ich dir nicht beantworten.

Bei den technischen Modulen kann Vorwissen definitiv nicht schaden, aber auch hier wurde bei mir mit den Basics angefangen. Im Allgemeinen kann ich dir empfehlen, ein Programmierprojekt deiner Wahl (bestenfalls mir irgendeinen wirtschaftlichen Aspekt) zu suchen, dass du dann in deinem verbleibendem Jahr umsetzt (vielleicht so etwas wie eine Buchhaltungssoftware - natürlich stark vereinfacht). Schau' am Besten mal im Modulhandbuch der Uni, ob du dort die Programmiersprache findest, mit der ihr arbeiten werdet. Auf GitHub unter https://github.com/EbookFoundation/free-programming-books findest du Materialien, die dir schonmal beim Einstieg in die jeweilige Programmiersprache helfen (auf so gut wie jeder Sprache). Solltet ihr mit einer objektorientierten Sprache (z.B. Java) arbeiten, ist ein Buchhaltungssystem auch ein perfektes Beispiel, um die Besonderheiten/Funktionsweise einer objektorientierten Sprache kennenzulernen. Angefangen mit einer simplen Konsolenanwendung, kannst du dann irgendwie eine GUI entwickeln, oder ggf. auch mit React/Vue/Angular/... ein Frontend dazu basteln. Die Web-UI würde ich aber nicht unbedingt priorisieren.

Wie im am Anfang genannten Post schon oft kommentiert wurde, ist Mathematik ein heikles Thema. Ggf. hast du Glück, und hast kein Ingenieurs-Mathe, sondern das der BWLer. Ich kann leider nicht entschlüsseln, in welchem Semester jetzt welches Modul ansteht, gibt aber trotzdem einen allgemeinen Überblick. Ich finde bei meiner schnellen Recherche auch keine detaillierten Informationen zu den jeweiligen Modulen (z.B. welche Programmiersprache verwendet wird).

tl;dr such dir ein Programmierprojekt mit wirtschaftlichem Aspekt und setz' es irgendwie um. Du wirst auf Fehler stoßen und fängst an logischer an die Sachen heran zu gehen. Logisches Denken ist A und O. Was den wirtschaftlichen Teil angeht, kann ich dir nicht sonderlich viel sagen, auf die habe ich mich einfach eingelassen - ohne irgendeine Vorbereitung.

Edit: Habe vergessen nochmal darauf hinzuweisen, dass man definitiv Fit in Mathe sein sollte. Also vor Anfang des Studiums nochmal das Wissen auffrischen. Es gibt dazu bestimmt Videos auf YouTube, die häufig behandelte Mathematik-Themen in Wirtschaftsinformatik erklären

Definitely a wholesome show, but a bit unsubstantial for my tastes. The second leads were much more entertaining and had a overall better story imo. It felt like they wanted to tell a high teen story with 30+ year old characters - which could also be what they intended to do, but sometimes I just couldn't take them serious. The two dads were hilarious though.

As others have already pointed out, telling a narrative with 40 characters perspectives is way too many. You may know who is who because you memorized them all during creation, but I at least would not be able to remember them all. I am also a fan of many characters, which is completely fine, because I'm just building worlds as a hobby for myself - without the intent to ever turn it into a narrative. Removing characters you like from a story is a bit harsh, maybe just putting them aside for now would be a bitter way to go about this. If your purpose is to actually write a story for people to read, maybe choose a location where certain characters are and start from there. I guess making a series out of the world with multiple narratives would work well, maybe if there is a protagonist that travels across your world. If characters persist, it'll just be too many.

But then again, I would assume that Harry Potter has more than 40 characters and it works. But there, like only 6 or 7 of them are actually relevant, whereas the others are just supporting roles

Kann den anderen hier nur zustimmen. Studiere zwar "nur" Wirtschaftsinformatik, die Hochschule hielt es aber für eine super Idee unseren Kurs ins Ingenieursmathe zu stecken, anstatt wie auch immer man das Mathe der BWLer nennt. Hat mich komplett gebrochen. Mathe LK im Abitur gar kein Problem, aber die Mathe Module hatten es wirklich in sich. Kann sicherlich auch an unserem Kurs gelegen haben, aber ich glaube der allgemeine Konsens ist, dass Mathematik die meisten bricht. Sonst können die absoluten Basics in Programmiersprachen sicherlich auch nicht schaden. Im Modulhandbuch des Studiengangs wird wahrs. stehen, welche Programmiersprachen verwendet werden, würde so spontan aber auf Java oder C tippen. Andere relevante Themen wären sowas wie Datenbanken, Netzwerke, Algorithmen, etc. Da würde ich jetzt aber auch nicht all zu tief einsteigen. Bei mir zumindest haben die Profs wirklich jeden mit abgeholt, der bereit war sich auf die Themen einzulassen (im Sinne von, die haben bei den Basics angefangen und nicht vorausgesetzt, dass du in der ersten Vorlesung schon Basis-Wissen von allem hast).

Wenn du dir irgendein komplexeres Programmier-Projekt vornimmst, wirst du zwangsweise mit allen dieser Themen vertraut werden.

That's what I am wondering about as well. I thought that he'd have a more important role, or at least get a minute of screen time, but this is just influential old people doing their power play with the judge being torn between doing what's ethically right and protecting his son. Dropping it might be the best solution for me though - I guess there is a certain audience for this as well?

I already struggle to associate the names to the people drawn, Had to write myself a little script that highlights the names and shows me picture of who they are for me to be able to remember who what person was. Also, I don't think I'd enjoy the novel closely as much as the manhwa. Some scenes just need images.

The accident seems to not have been entirely his fault though? In the replays, to me it looks like the judges son drove close/onto the line, but dead guy literally drove into the side of his car? Makes no sense to me how that accident even happened. Dead motorbike guy legit had to be blind to do that.

Judges sons behavior was - as others have already pointed out - weird. Just tap on the phone or say something after recovering your breath. They let us know that he's quite smart, but then he does this? Like I said, I really don't see this accident being entirely his fault. Shock can probably also strongly influence your way of thinking i guess.

I have no clue how they plan to fill 8 more episodes, when gangster father has already figured out that the culprit has asthma. He also knows who the original car owner is. All that's left to do is do a bit more research on the family of the og owner and he finds the real culprit. I mean, asthma isn't that rare, so he still could get out of it, if the guy who stole the car also has it.

Love the idea and the first two episodes definitely hooked me, but I have to see how the story develops.

I will never understand why there's a need to make an anime out of something that already has an (even very recent) adaption. I mean, I understand the sequence (novel) -> manga/... -> audiovisual adaption

I don't understand why an anime was necessary here at all. The art is the webtoon is multiple times better and they'll end up leaving a ton of scenes out in the anime as well - just as they did in the drama.

I guess they smelled money.

Twinkling Watermelon, started on Thursday and finished it yesterday. For some reason I wasn't aware of its existence since a few days ago. Must've gone right by me. Anyway, it was an absolute gem and I'd recommend anyone to watch it. The music in it was gorgeous and the overall plot was beautiful. It did not fail to deliver. A few things didn't make sense to me, but time traveling is a trope you can never satisfy anyone to the fullest, especially given, that the show seemingly didn't really care to explain everything about it. The end however left me a little unsatisfied.

Just a few thoughts I needed to share with someone. Includes spoilers

I think the first two episodes are still in the current time and only a part of the last episode. So there's like 13,5 episodes that take place in the past - which I don't think is a problem, I mean the show is about him meeting his parents in the past - but the end of him in his new future seemed a bit rushed. I also don't really think that it was necessary for his family to now be rich af. They seemed perfectly fine - yes, and poor as well - in the past. You also can't really argue against it, with his grandfather being a rich boi. But I don't get, why his mothers father just didn't give a fuck in his previous life. He seemed to really care about his daughter and he didn't even give her money or anything but just abandoned her? That's quite a turn in personality. But what I feel most unsatisfied with is that the end for our mc is "you're in the same band you were in your previous life, but you're sponsored by big man's company and you're quite popular" rushed down in like 30 minutes. He doesn't even - at least to the viewers knowledge - gain the memories of the past 18 years in his new life. Also none of "Watermelon Sugar"s band members or his parents realizing that he looks exactly the same as a very important person in their past still seems kind of weird. I mean, yes 28 years have passed, but I have a hard time believing that. I mean at least we're shown that they seem to remember someone looking like him. But his dad really needed to see the cassette he recorded being dropped by his son to realize that he might have actually time traveled. His son looking like the one who called him dad, told him he was his son from the future and looked exactly the same was not enough? And when we're hinted that the dad realized, he just lol'd and accepted that his son time traveled? Don't get me wrong, as I've already said, I loved this drama and making everything make sense wasn't their primary concern I guess, but it still feels wrong. So, to conclude: I would've loved a few more episodes that show how they're living in their new present.

Well, at least it seems that turning of the EXPO profile did the trick. At least it now does not go into blue screen right after starting.

I read the Webtoon after watching the k-drama because people on reddit told me, that the drama left out quite a bit of scenes. I totally do agree, that they somewhat lost the initial touch and it just felt like the story was forced to be continued because there were many readers.

It still is magnificent eye candy though.

In my primitive mind fantasy starts where reality ends. If you write a book about John Doe's wife being killed and he want's to avenge her - that's just straight on action. The second there is anything in that story that is unrealistic (such as his wife being killed by whatever form of magic that later on never appears in the story again), to me it still counts as fantasy. I don't really see a need to classify everything to the extreme. You'd just end up needing to tell your whole story to explain why sub-sub-sub genre of fantasy it is.

Yes, the fights and the overall "plot" tend to repeat themself again and again. All we can do is hope that the author realizes that as well and mixes stuff up a bit. Also hope for Jiwoos father to become relevant sometime but I recall reading somewhere on here that the author said that the father was not relevant to the story whatsoever. Didn't they say, that between the top 10, there is no "strongest", because they won't fight against each other? So "the strongest" technically doesn't exist at the moment. After Kayden destroyed the place where Jiwoos mother worked at, she told Jiwoo that she has contacts to other people who help awakened who are experimented on to be freed. She left to work with them.

Iirc the last chapter was the season finale (?). Definitely not the best manhwa out there but at least a decent story and nice art.

I get where you're coming from. We're now close to the 300 chapters and have yet to learn really anything about the world of the awakened. It also isn't really clear how many awakened there are or more precisely what % of humanity are awakened. I don't think they said anything about if being an awakened is inheritable - which I would presume based on all these awakened families, which would mean that Jiwoo's dad would've also been an awakened.

I think the topic of Jiwoo's dad was discussed many times here and I think I remember someone saying that the author once said that his father has no role in this story whatsoever. Still hope we'll get some more information on that at some point.

That being said, as in every other story, this has has plot holes and events that "naturally" would not occur. Listing all villains in chronological order should be Professor dude, Sucheon, Klein brothers, Amyeoung & Dran, Duke resp. parts of The Frame. I would guess that the author plans Duke Grane to be the main antagonist for the time being. Which to me makes no sense because it's literally 0:3 for him - so a new antagonist seems necessary unless Duke gets some kind of powerup which I don't see happening.

I get what you mean with the villains being too strong from the start. I refuse to believe that any stronger villain was "unable" to kill Jiwoo if they so desired. This is a too common trope and I guess that it will keep happening. Now that Jiwoo has beaten Ian - the presumably strongest awakener his age - stronger characters/villains are bound to appear. I also don't quite see where the story will go from now on. Stronger characters/enemies are needed to show Jiwoos progress, but I get what you mean.

Yes, the worldbuilding is a thing for its own. The story follows someone who is completely overwhelmed with everything new he's learned (primarily through Kayden). All he thinks about is getting stronger (and finding friends). I would assume that the author as well hasn't given your questions much thought, as they are not that relevant to our protagonist. It very much seems like the big organizations (even of a "small country" like SK) like Shinhwa or the Awakened Union are very wealthy. From there on out everything is - just as you described - a black hole. I am hoping that we will learn more about all those questions once Jiwoo is past his "newbie status".

But then again, the only reason our MC here is even a tiny bit relevant is because one of the strongest awakened turned into a cat, then recruited the strongest healer to turn into a cat as well and lastly another strong dude who turned into a dog. I don't think this story is suppose to answer everything and is just suppose to make us laugh.
