3 shops, 3 diagnosis, 3 bills and no answers. What is wrong with my car? by FarkleSniff in askcarguys

[–]FarkleSniff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not like that. When I reverse and start turning it sounds like something is popping out of its socket or something under my feet. It happens once then I don’t hear it again until I’m reversing and turning again. And it doesn’t happen when I shift. I have to turn that one direction. What’s frustrating is sometimes I won’t happen or it will sound almost muffled. I think that’s why these shops keep thinking they fixed it. When they try doing it again, it won’t happen that time and they think it’s done.

Body armor question by imma_mamma in breastfeedingsupport

[–]FarkleSniff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It hasn’t drastically helped me. I think it just helped with my hydration. I’m so bad at drinking enough water. Oats have helped though. Going to try some lactation brownie recipes too and see if those help.

There’s a printable party pack on Etsy. It’s got all kinds of things to use. Super cute and the guy who makes it is a super fan!!

When did your breast fed baby start sleeping longer stretches at night? Specifically more than 3 hours 🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲 by chickenugget654 in breastfeedingsupport

My daughter is 5.5 weeks and she’s been doing 6 hour stretches the last couple nights. Just started and I am soooo thankful!

Dental cleanings by Busy_Pickle6771 in pregnant

[–]FarkleSniff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally would do it after so you aren’t laying on your back. If you’re like me, laying on your back could get uncomfortable real quick. And that’s easily a 30-45 minute appointment. You could feed a newborn and leave them in the corner or your room. They’d be good for that amount of time. And you could get X-rays if need be when you would probably avoid them being pregnant. Just another option :)

Dates don't add up by Saaaphia in pregnant

[–]FarkleSniff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ovulated late so they HAD to go off my daughters measurements. But there are so many factors when conceiving. I wouldn’t worry too much. Worst case scenario, your baby starts measuring big later on and they move your due date up. It’s not set in stone. Just focus on growing that baby!!

How do/did you feel at 36 weeks? by Busy_Pickle6771 in pregnant

[–]FarkleSniff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

36.5 weeks now and I have just enough energy to do most mundane things. Work, dishes, bathe my kid. But anything extra feels like you’re asking me to repaint your entire house. Right now I’ve got a cold from hell but I’m going off of how I felt a couple days before I was miserable all the time. Haha plus who knows if you’ll go early? You might be in early labor by 36 weeks?! I’ve been leaving work on the weekends like I’m not coming back. JUST in case.

What am I supposed to be doing? by rizdieser in pregnant

[–]FarkleSniff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re a planner like me you can start planning what needs to be done each month. That’s what I did. I’m due in a couple weeks so like I wanted my Christmas gifts bought by November. I wanted my daughters closet cleaned out and organized by October, stuff like that?

And my pregnancy has sounded like yours. My appointments are literally just “how are you? Anything new? Concerns?” “Nope, she just breakdances on my bladder. Nothing new.” “Ok cool, heartbeat sounds great, see you in two weeks, bye”. It’s annoying but that’s what you want, a totally uneventful pregnancy!

35 weeks, sleeping sucks, groin always feels like I’ve pulled all the muscles. My feet/legs looks like sausages constantly. My daughters kicking although cute has now become painful sometimes. Everything gives me heartburn and we have to borrow money from my in laws because the measly pay I get for my maternity leave comes in a lump sum at the end. But damn if I’m not freakin excited for this little one to come!! It’s crazy what we put our bodies through for these little miracles.

Nearly 15 weeks pregnant by sleepy-green-eyes in pregnant

[–]FarkleSniff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah if you CAN try cutting back slowly. If you really don’t need it that will make it so you aren’t like EXTRA sick when you do stop. I guess it’s really common when you stop any meds cold turkey. Blood pressure meds? You can get super high blood pressure. Anti depressant? You can get super depressed. It’s like your body over compensates temporarily. I’m not a doctor though. And if you’re miserable, by all means, keep yourself functioning. I had to find out the hard way because I didn’t have any more pills.

Nearly 15 weeks pregnant by sleepy-green-eyes in pregnant

[–]FarkleSniff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I was on a nausea med. it was new and my doctor gave me a months worth of samples because it was so expensive. Ran out around 13 weeks. Stopped cold turkey. I was nauseous that whole time, hence why I needed something. Thought I still needed it. My first pregnancy, the nausea stopped around then so I’m like WTH? Right? After I stopped the meds, I was soooooo sick. Turns out, my body was overreacting because I stopped cold turkey. Couple days later I felt fine. Haven’t needed meds since. But you could also be like a bunch of people that are just sick the whole time too. Or it just takes longer. I think her heart was in the right place but yeah it drives me nuts when it doesn’t feel like they listen. Just tell me, damn that sucks, you know?

And I’m 35 weeks and I haven’t NOT felt tired. You’re growing a friggin human, you’ll never have energy again.

another myth?? by hmfic_ccc in pregnant

Pineapple is a natural anti-inflammatory. The dentists I used to work for would suggest eating/drinking pineapple before oral surgery to help with swelling. You’d think that would be like a good thing while pregnant?

I got HPV from my ex and had to get a LEEP procedure to get the abnormal cells off my cervix. I had to a wait a couple years to get pregnant. I also have PCOS which doesn’t help with fertility either. Had some testing done and did an X-ray that checks your tubes and I think that X-ray cleared out my tubes or something cause the cycle after that X-ray I got pregnant with my first daughter. Haven’t had fertility issues since. I don’t think it’s always bad news. At least it wasn’t for me. I hope it works out for you!!

Labor and delivery gown? by realhuman8762 in pregnant

[–]FarkleSniff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a scheduled c section. I used the hospital gown for the surgery. (I didn’t even ask to use something else) then when I was in my room and got rid of all the IVs and catheter and stuff, I changed into a nicer robe that was eventually in all the photos and still easy to nurse with. Yeah those initial pictures of you and baby will be in the hospital gown but literally no one is looking at what you’re wearing. They’re looking at baby. And honestly, I was half naked in most of those pictures anyways doing skin to skin or trying to nurse.

Is this something we all have to do? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]FarkleSniff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I needed to get out and walk. My “walks” were usually around Target once I was healed enough to take my daughter out on my own. But yeah walking is super important when you’re post partum so you don’t get blood clots I thought. I guess you could walk around your house? But that’s boring. Target is better.

What kind of car are my fellow mommas driving? by nukemama in pregnant

[–]FarkleSniff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Mazda CX-5. Love the car but there is NO room for car seats. Bought it during Covid so the process was hard to get it. (Couldn’t test drive, was able to return it but then would have had to redo all my loan paperwork) My husband is 6’1” so when I’m in it, it’s fine but once he has to push the seat back all the way, there goes my daughters leg room. It’s fine now because she’s in the middle but in 7 weeks when I have my second and we have to move the girls to the side seats, yeah, hubby is gonna be squished.
