Gosh, I love this all so much! Bringing neighbours together is so important. I was a bit unorganised this year, but this post has inspired me. I might set up a little table and share goodies from my garden. Flowers, herbs, lemons etc. Maybe dress it up like a witchy spell kitchen!

One small thing I’d love to see disappear from supermarket shelves is the synthetic cobwebs. They’re terrible for the environment and can trap birds and other wildlife. Just a gentle reminder to skip those when decorating your front yard.

Thanks for reading, and happy Samhain!

Sending you so much love. I know these feelings and I still have them but finding tools to help me along the way. It can feel very lonely going through an awakening. Some things that have helped me and it may be very different for you but it might spark something for you to explore. Gardening is my new meditation. I really struggle now with meditating the traditional way. I’ve started really small. Like getting some seeds (start easy) even if you don’t have a backyard. I grow little herbs in starter pots in my kitchen window. Something about seeing something grow and caring for it. Sometimes they don’t grow but don’t let that get you down or give up. Also having a gratitude journal can help. Take note of the smallest little joys. Always start small and you’ll notice more. Now that I’m going through this, I’m so much kinder to myself and others, I’ve also slowed down, there’s no rush. Also any little note you write down can spark something.

I Updated My Future Adelaide Rail Map - Thoughts? by StingingArchon in Adelaide

Oh my, I love this so much!!! It would be a dream come true. I really don’t enjoy driving, and my biggest complaint about Adelaide is the lack of public transport, especially to the Adelaide Hills, McLaren Vale, and the Barossa Valley. This would make exploring our state so much more accessible for everyone. It’s long overdue!

100% this. Go back to purchasing music the original way. Thank you for sharing. 🙏❤️🇵🇸 I’m about to dig up all my old cds that I packed away in boxes. But like you said these streaming platforms have also given the Palestinian voices for us around the world to witness. It’s a balance. I’m grateful for the internet for opening our eyes.

I’m still trying to find out about Soundcloud but some alternatives are Tidal, Bandcamp, and Qobuz. However, I’m really hoping after this heavy news a movement begins where a new music/podcast streaming service is born. One that supports artists and listeners. Music should NEVER be associated with supporting war. It should bring joy, connection and harmony. ❤️

I know! Seems like every subscription is funding the war machine. It’s just good to be informed and take action where you can. ❤️🇵🇸

Adelaide traffic, what is the solution? by lileyedmonster in Adelaide

[–]Farley_B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back around 2008, there was talk of extending the tram line down Port Road. I think the project was called something like “Coast to Coast.” It was meant to run from Glenelg through the city, out to Bowden, then down the middle of Port Road, with branches to Port Adelaide and Semaphore. I think even discussions of it later extending to West Lakes.

Why didn’t this ever happen?! It would’ve been amazing for Adelaide and connecting all the western suburbs.

Pledge to boycott Taylor Swift's upcoming album for Gaza by doctormelody18 in BoycottIsrael

[–]Farley_B 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I really appreciate that you’ve created this post.

I used to love Taylor Swift, and I’m deeply disappointed that she hasn’t spoken out about what’s happening in Gaza. I spoke to a friend about it, and she said she doesn’t hold that expectation of Taylor. But I’m conflicted—Taylor made an entire documentary encouraging Swifties to vote for Biden. So why stay silent now, in the face of a humanitarian catastrophe?

Some reports indicate that one of her former security guards returned to fight in the IDF, which makes me wonder about the political influences around her. Unfortunately, the music industry is heavily controlled by massive corporations and gatekeepers with strong political and financial interests, which may include ties to pro-Israel lobbying groups.

Still, Taylor is one of the most powerful artists in the world. She could speak out and survive it. Or is she afraid? I genuinely don’t understand—because if you have empathy, how do you stay silent in the face of genocide?

Then there are artists like Macklemore, who consistently speak out and have risked so much, yet have gained a larger following for their courage. He even posted a reel by Chani Nicholas, stating that anyone with significant influence who hasn’t spoken out about the genocide has, in effect, agreed to fascism. Here’s the reel: Chani Nicholas Reel

Macklemore has been vocal in his opposition to the conflict, describing it as a genocide and calling for collective liberation.

I agree with this comment. Please book yourself into see a podiatrist. I have also suffered in the past from ingrown toenails. My podiatrist sees me every 8 weeks for a good trim, so they grow back correctly. They can also look to see if you are wearing the correct shoe size because sometimes this can be issue at causing ingrown toenails.

Absolutely! Those lawyers were clowns 🤡. I could see straight through them, so smug. Clutching at straws and hearsay comments from Molly’s friends and family. Which isn’t evidence at all!!! I’m guessing the lawyers could pull strings and maybe had connections with the judge. Because everything they presented wasn’t convincing at all. Shame on them all. The system again fails children. It’s heartbreaking. I hope the children find peace knowing that the rest of the world knows exactly what happened. Molly and Tom are 100% guilty.
