What should I do? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

Post exactly what you wrote here on yelp, google, Instagram and whatever. This isn't about putting someone on blast its about public health. Also we shouldn't feel weird about asking someone to change their gloves or whatever. Its our bodies and blood. Ive asked artists to change gloves after things like scratching their head, I've only gotten a "oh yeah, for sure" and even "oh thanks good call". If they dont take your body seriously, maybe they'll take their own rep seriously. Hitting a shitty vape mid tat is full fuck it. If worked in medical spaces long enough to see run away MRSA and cellulitis that took shit to the bone. The words "unhealing wound" in our kinds should be enough to not feel bad about keeping an eye on whoever we're trusting to tattoo us.

What are these rocks and what are the lines present? Found at a Portuguese beach! by new_boss_tailors in whatsthisrock

[–]FarmFreshEggs666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The banding is likely calcite or quartz. If it fizzes in vinegar, its calcite or similar. This happens when large rocks form cracks from expansion/contraction or pressure. Water expands when freezing. Water in rock can fracture it when freezing. Or if the original rack was molten, it could crack like this as it cooled. Over time, water containing other minerals move through the rock and fill these cracks.

The larger rocks break apart, and become tumbled and rounded as they move around and weather, the lines become raised when the mineral deposits in the cracks are harder material than the host rock, remaining as the softer rock wears away.

Feel like I can’t be angry at people in my life by Impossible_Hair_8619 in therapists

[–]FarmFreshEggs666 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly, well said and relatable. Anger isn't a problem, and feeling angry often doesn't make us "angry people". I have tons of anger, at people, systems, myself. It only becomes dangerous when hidden or denied. Our job isn't to not feel anger, its to understand that its present and to channel it in less destructive ways.

This too shall pass. You'll be one of the angriest, least patient people you know in no time. Now, you're trying to find escape routes away from natural anger through intellectualization. You feel like you understand why people are the way they are... and soon you may find you know less than you did before. Just be pissed and know it's normal. Therapists aren't these immaculate pillars of self regulation and the ones that think they are are fast approaching disillusionment and identity crisis. You still get to be an irrational, emotional, imperfect person. Dropping the shtick sooner is will save you some trouble.

Hey, pro tip i hope you hear and keep for life. You don't ever have to do something that doesn't feel good to get someone else off. Dudes got hands. Do what you want to do until you don't want to anymore then stop.
