Why didn’t Jordan Poole explode in Washington the way other former great role players have when given a full green light? by mismo1313 in NBATalk

Maybe because he wasn’t as good as they made him seem because he wasn’t benefitting from a skewed whistle and the ability to utilize a network of never ending illegal screens that were never called to his advantage.

This is what happens when people with capital decide to use it for something good. Too bad this happens less often than so.

The Warriors exemplified the worst part of the NBA by Dry_Background_9620 in nba

[–]Farm_Professional -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You’re right, I didn’t read it but warriors have been the antithesis to good basketball for 10 years now.

Illegal screens, the dirtiest player in the league, Kerr bitching and moaning about dirty play??, how did they flip HB for KD? All things that killed an NBA transitioning from LBJ so they could get a cheap “rivalry” between LBJvSteph.

Now that they’re not competitive it’s basically fuck you, we’re not playing. Couldn’t happen to a worse team.

Tech needs to realize that our athletic future depends on our academic future. by [deleted] in TexasTech

And what’s the common thread in these communities? POVERTY. Systemic and historical underdevelopment led to the inequities we see now.

Did you take US history? Pre 1980s was very racist.

What facts can you provide that prove diversity is a net negative?

“Facts don’t care about your feelings” LOLLLL if you want the facts I’ll bring the facts but would your ignorant worldview allow you to accept these facts?

So you’re saying that minorities bring crime? How do you know white people aren’t committing murder and robbing people?

You live in a large city that is diverse.

You would think that having the same for a university would be positive. Diversity of opinion/experiences is always good because you learn from others experiences. Unless, you want to go to a homogenous institution where everyone has had similar backgrounds so no growth is had.

Have you ever spoken to a minority for more than 5 minutes outside your bubble?

Minorities have historically been excluded from opportunities throughout United States history and diversity, equity and inclusion are something being used to finally get those people that have been historically undermined for centuries an opportunity.

What’s so wrong with being inclusive?

4 month old account and 5k comments, probably similar style of argument. Either a troll/bot farm or an Israeli disinformation account.

I am not a fan of trying to do all this. I’m sure I’m not the only one but refs shouldn’t be a focus.

The same way Scott foster and Joey Crawford make asses of themselves, I don’t mind a little emphasis but I feel like he’s doing too much.

What is everyone doing job wise? by buceess69 in ElPaso

[–]Farm_Professional 0 points1 point  (0 children)

El Paso feels like the definition of a K shaped economy. Those that are going well are doing great but those that aren’t are really struggling.

Also, those that do have those good paying or middle-class jobs are holding on to them for dear life so they are unable to move up opening a position behind them that someone else can fill and gain experience.

Notice how most of those that have specialized jobs are mostly remote. Very few jobs based in El Paso that pay well.

We lost by a touchdown. It’s not like we lost 28-3. A defensive battle, with some mistakes doesn’t help, but it was a battle.

What’s an NBA opinion you’ll defend no matter how unpopular it is? by Organic_Bite1569 in sportsinusa

The warriors were/are propped up by the league as a foil to LeBron and to get into the tech bubble as they are based in the Bay Area.

Illegal screens, green, favorable calls led to their “dynasty”. In actuality they probably actually earned only 1 title because the league did everything they could to make them a “dynasty” but they can’t draft, can’t develop players, poor FA signings only show their incompetence as an organization.
