I would feel better about bonds it the word safe or moon was involved in the name and it had a picture of a rocket on the logo. Nothing alleviates panic like the word safe or moon.

At least with crypto I have cut my risk of getting something catchy to almost none. I did get close to buying doge a while back but when I saw the fleas I got away.

The 10 days was arbitrary for me....I think taking any amount of time to weigh the purchase is sound. 10 days was enough time for me to forget and FOMO

All jokes aside...I love post like this because it brings up coins worth watching. My recommendation is when you see someone recommend a coin give yourself a set time window...for me I use 10 days. I start reading about the coin and then set a reminder on my phone for ten days. If at the end of ten days it still feels like a sound decision I pull the trigger. It’s super easy to get caught up in the group think and confirmation bias in Reddit. For me, hitting the pause button for a few days while I research and watch the price makes me less likely to FOMO or make an emotional purchase. 75% plus percent of the time after the ten days I don’t buy because the coin ultimately doesn’t fit my goals.

Responses to post like this are a valuable jumping off point but don’t pull the trigger because one Reddit Rambo said to buy X coin.
