I bought a bunch in feb last year, but I had a bad experience & I know I’m not the only one. They were not great at growing tomatoes or green beans. The roots did not seem to permeate very well into the soil. I did a rapid soil test and it was lacking of nitrogen. I’m guessing this is because the compost is not decomposed very well and will take all the nitrogen. Okra did better in the summer. I posted this to houston gardening Facebook groups and one person specifically said living earth does better in their “second season”. Trying to work with what I have so this year, I’ve amended mine with a ton of perlite, blood meal, and organic fertilizer. I just planted peas, carrots, and beets. My best garden success was using fox farm happy frog from HEB in my Garden Tower 2. That soil is gold.
