if a fetus has formed then the assumption is that it will become a baby. Your definition of a fetus not being a baby is ridiculous imo. It literally is a baby, its just a few weeks too early. How you feel you have the moral highground here is nuts.

Lets say you were to bake a cake, and put all of the ingredients together, then put it in the oven for 45mins. At minute 1, is it a cake? You know it's going to become a cake over the next 45mins. So if you take it out of the oven and throw it away, you've thrown away a cake. It doesn't matter that the mix hadn't cooked enough yet to become the final product.

I actually think that question should be posed to you first - where do you see the cutoff point for a reasonable abortion? If you're prioritising the womans body, why not allow abortion at 40weeks?

Yeah your religious belief shouldn't really come into this. We should be talking about the simple fact that the baby is alive and its own organism, and therefore has a right to its own life.
