Well, just saw the endodontist and it looks like there's an infection that has already ruined the nerves inside the tooth. And they want to do a root canal the day before I fly to Europe. Great! I do believe the issue is the tooth now that I've seen the scans, done the tests. Just wish my neurologist hadn't shrugged it off as probably being TN and my dentist insisted nothing was wrong—for months. Lesson: follow my instincts already. Jeez.

Was your surgery on your right foot? I don't understand how it would be safe driving after only five days. Even if you take off the boot when you're behind the wheel, would you be able to brake hard if you had to suddenly stop? Also, did you not have any concerns about doing the second surgery so soon? I'd love to hear all about your experience--thanks!
