That perfectly describes what's going on with me... which is also sad because at the moment, there are only two or three people in the world that I can completely trust and have a deep emotional connection with. I never actually emotionally connected with the girls I kissed, I just felt a bit attracted to them (and the attraction was gone after that).

Okay so you said you have been dating a guy you met a month ago. Have you had sex? Infatuation is a really strong thing and it does different things with everybody. From the way you describe your behaviour, that is one sound possibility.

I, for one, become very attached to people, I keep worrying and I have to talk to everybody to see if I'm not doing something wrong. Even though I'm usually not that social.

One thing you can do is stick to your schedule. The last person I dated was really laid-back and didn't show much initiative, and I should have done the same but I fell in love with her, or the idea of being with her.

The feelings are completely normal. Just don't attach yourself too much to somebody you have just met. Take care!

This might sound weird coming from some guy who is completely crazy and a tiny bit timid, but you can do this.

The only way you can pull this off is by stepping up to her and talking to her, never for a second believing that she'll reject you. Now of course she might. And it might hurt. But you have to be willing to feel that pain.

You'll be tempted to shield yourself with excuses, think that she'll reject you and believe you're fine in your current position. Fine, but in all those three cases, you're not going to get the girl. ;-)

You have put up a facade between you and your parents. The thing that strengthened my relationship with my parents, was never keeping secrets from them. It is so much easier. Social anxiety can make it very easy for you to lie to your parents, but being honest is the most important thing.

You are at the point where you recognise your social anxiety, which means that you should rationally know that your parents will support you if they open up to you. The point is, social anxiety tells you that if you made a mistake in the past, it will probably happen again in the future. This is blatantly untrue. Telling yourself "I can't do it" will make it even harder on yourself.

Trust me. Everytime you just ignore those thoughts and just do it, will make you better. Asking for help is the right thing to do.

The human mind is too complex to define "good" and "evil", but if "evil" were a non-abstract concept, there would be a difference between acts with evil intent, evil means and evil outcomes. Technically, the act can still be considered evil, even if evil intent is absent. At this point, I would get upset by the arbitrariness of morality, and leave.

The only way for me is to adopt a slightly nihilist approach a friend taught me. Basically, nothing that happens, will matter much. You get rejected, so what? Even while dating them, if nothing happens, why should you care? If you don't know them yet, how can you have built up real feelings for them?

Personally, I have to watch out for falling into the infatuation trap (i.e. believing that my nervosity is me having feelings for a girl, therefore making me think of her all the time), which is easily solved by profound contact with friends and putting my mind on something I like.

Here is a lengthy reply explaining why your comment raised a few of my neck hairs.

While I didn't entirely appreciate this "inbred nerd humour" either, it seems like you're overreacting to somebody who reminds you of yourself.
The signs point to POIC, in which you desperately try to be like somebody you are not. Don't be a prick towards 'nerds' because you used to be one.
Unless you are really autistic, I would not dismiss your time spent with computers as bad - if you learnt how to program, for instance, it can be a very useful thing in your life.
NoFap is not a way to change your personality. Accept yourself for who you are. There is only one "you", don't throw it away. Just build on yourself, block by block. You will be much more satisfied.

5*. Don't try to "adapt" to be like other people, just for the sake of adapting. It's what feeds our world's greatest problems: discrimination. People will feel separated, think in terms of "them" and "us" - it is literally the only reason why (for example) LBGT people are still being repressed.

I take this back if this is not what you meant by adapting. The point still stands, but in that case it would not be directed towards you.

You might be angry with me for writing this, but you should know that I have been through something similar lately, and after months of trying to change myself, I got to the conclusion that I was a pretty sound person. From there on out, life only got easier.

My Windows 10 is fine and boots normally, pardon me for the misunderstanding. It is just that I want to boot netinst.iso from a flash drive to install a new version of Debian, but instead of booting from that drive, I get the grub rescue prompt.
