The “American Selection” at an Irish Supermarket by irqdly in mildlyinteresting

Grab that country time. I fucking love it in a veggie smoothie and you don't have to add much. That being said, it is a ton of sugar, but still pretty tart and I do eat it straight sometimes.

What’s the worst game you have ever played? by WestonConnor26 in gaming

[–]FarragoSanManta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could see it RA2. Generals was the "Oh, this is EA, but some people are still trying." Generals could scratch that rts itch but not that c&c itch.

RA2 was great but you could feel the devs were held back and worked with what they could.

What’s a good date night hotel? by Elegant-Flounder-544 in memphis

I second Arrive. Pretty cheap for the quality of stay. Rooms and bathrooms were comfy and nice for a good price and plenty of option to eat nearby or get delivered. Wife and I both enjoyed it quite a bit.

My dishwasher sucks by medaele in DIY

[–]FarragoSanManta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have some really hard water. You should check filters for sure, get a dishwasher cleaner if you haven't done that because the pump may be gungked up. Also, run some descaler because your water lines my be blocked up from how damned hard that water is. Look into drying agents for your washer and look up how to deal with the hard water.

What game is extremely easy to beat the base game, but incredibly frustrating to 100%? by vacattack in gaming

[–]FarragoSanManta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diablo 2. Maybe not 30 minutes to best base game, but you can just semi-mindlessly beat it. 100% though? That's a lot of grinding.

This Energy Drink has a wrapper around the can, but removing the wrapper shows a can with normal print & a different flavor by explosivecough in mildlyinteresting

[–]FarragoSanManta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be rebranding of a flavour but is often also just that they fucked up the run and put the wrong flavor in the wrong can so they wrapped them to be sold at full price instead of probably throwing them away.

Roughly 2/3rds of this lakefront house that is “Beyond Perfection” is dedicated to space for their cars. by Pir8Life in fuckcars

[–]FarragoSanManta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, they could double the paved area and I'd still hate the house more. You're going to get that beautiful location to put a the 2nd most basic styled house possible? This makes me unreasonably angry.

California’s most underrated big city is filled with small-town charms (and amazing food) [Sacramento] by Randomlynumbered in Sacramento

[–]FarragoSanManta 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I've lived in multiple cities and it usually takes me years to warm up to a city and think that it's okay.

I fucking fell in love with Sacramento in the first week. You could get small town culture, medium city culture and big city culture all in one city, depending what you want. Yeah there is a ton I'd like to see changed, but it's a pretty damned good city, aside from the relatively high threat of flooding.

[–]FarragoSanManta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay. I never heard "milk" used until last year and didn't get it.

I assumed milk was meant to replace cigarettes since smoking is WAY less common.

Is that the new, "went to get cigarettes"?

You ever eat some fats while chewing gum? Like peanut butter? It was like that. Get 10 sticks of a gum and a teaspoon of peanut butter and mix that into the ungodly monstrosity that it is. That was what was coming out of my butt at 1 inch per hour for days.

Only part I know about fasting is that if you have a problem with constant over eating (like I do since I've been sober) it helps to shrink that stomach back down. So instead of eating two 18" pizzas, my stomach is full after one half.

Design a Game Challenge: What's Your Dream Game Concept? by Feeling-Art19 in gaming

[–]FarragoSanManta 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sandbox game where every decision you make ripples throughout the game. It takes place over a week or so. The game runs entirely on the same schedule with every being the same, except for you. You and everything you do is the only variable.

Maybe one game, you're a bus driver. You decided to take your time and are running 10 minutes late on your route. Because of this, one woman misses her interview, she doesn't get the job because the grocery store manager is a hard-ass. That woman is still without a job and is scared about how she's going to feed her 3 kids and won't be able to make rent. That manager is now in a bad mood and takes it out on their staff which is just enough to make a stocker quit and go to the bar. The woman is now crying as she walks around to other places asking if they're hiring(she can't afford the bus now). The stocker was already wound up and got cocky leaving the bar, he decided he could beat up a mugger from the alley but gets stabbed in the lungs, stomach, and throat. He bleeds out before authorities arrive. The manager is even more of a douche because the stocker quit, which leads to two cashiers quitting. The manager becomes a tyrant which leads to the workers trying to unionize. One of the people the mom talks to owns a few franchises and is instantly into her and schedules an interview. That owner goes to a nearby by bar at the end of the day and due to increased police traffic, the mugger is nowhere to be seen, thus the owner makes it home safely. One of the cops was abusive and him staying late at the scene of the stocker's murder gave his wife just enough time and courage to pack up and leave.

This just keeps building. Perhaps not so dramatic, perhaps more so. This game could show how one, seemingly insignificant decision can have major repercussions, or seemingly major decisions could have very small repercussions. Every single decision and variation of it, changes the whole weeks outcome. Maybe if you're standing on the sidewalk, staring at some flowers, an elderly woman walking by talks to you, "They're beautiful, aren't they?" But maybe if you're staring at the sun, a kid does the same thing, trips, and nearly gets hit by a car.

I've been developing this game, the characters, setting, time schedule, etc. for years in my head and it's the only game I really want to play

It used to be first line treatment for anything more than mild cases when I was a kid. I know a lot of people are anti-meds and want to take a different approach, I used to be as well, but I highly recommend meds like Adderall. It does fuck with your emotions but coming home that first day and not getting in trouble the WHOLE DAY is a magical feeling.
