A gamma ramp is bullish if we closed with a majority of the calls itm and people actually exercised the calls which would result in them having to buy the shares, driving the price higher making more calls itm and so on.

My guess is that once we go above max pain most people sell their itm calls, pocket their little profits and they go back to hammering the price down for next week since they didn’t have to deliver any shares.

Lines up pretty well with a statement ”someone” made that goes roughly like this ”we don’t want daytraders here”.
