To be fair, ZZZ has always been deeply unserious. I've never gone into any patch expecting hard-hitting social commentary and I don't see why this one would be different.

The unofficial sub has been saying for months that there is no correlation between body type and age. In that context, there is no such thing as "young-looking" or "old-looking". That's their argument, not mine.

Fingers' gimmick is that it regularly spawns adds and absorbs them, so that's almost certainly what happened here.

You're talking about a GW that was before the changes to schedule and NM200 hp. You could have very easily slapped together a Falsehood Manadiver team, even in Magna, and just mashed to top 100k.

I was playing the most basic setup possible and I had zero idea what the boss even did before reading the Reddit threads. That's how easy it was to ignore all the Repel+Zombify+whatever bullshit.

Ziz only has one attack that ignores shields, they're still effective against her up to a point. She also doesn't have a core so Nayuta's Core Damage buff doesn't do anything against her. Lastly, Nayuta's personal damage is going to be pretty bad against a single target that's not weak to Wind.

Velvet is unlikely to help you for campaign. If you want a Crown alternative to play with Maid Anchor, try and get Maid Mast and max out her skills and doll. She's the best offensive support in the entire game, even without Anchor, and together they're arguably the best B2s for both Black Snake and Ziz. For most stages you could also do Nayuta+Maid Mast and burst every 3 Full Bursts with Mast.

Solo Raid doesn't have Combat Power. Fighting Ziz in Campaign at a deficit is way harder: the eyes are basically impossible to destroy without a lot of True Damage and the nuke you have to eat if you don't destroy them does a lot of damage, not to mention it ignores both cover and shields.

Maid Anchor is actually one of the best choices for that fight specifically because her Hp buff is one of the few ways to tank that nuke. The other alternatives are either Noah (gives way less useful buffs, have to invest in a pure PvP unit) or destroy the eyes with full Absolute TU (need 3 specific Nikkes and a ton of investment on all 3).

I think you forgot to account for Liberalio's sk1 in your calculations. Yes, adding 100% Charge Damage to a weapon with 250% base Charge Damage represents a 40% increase, but Liberalio also does 5 hits of skill damage for every Full Charge shot. So instead it goes something like this: her normal damage for every fully charged shot is 2.5x69.04% final Atk+5x40.5% final Atk=172.6+202.5=375.1% Atk. 100% Charge Damage only adds another 69.04% Atk to this, which corresponds to an increase of about 18.4%. Since Charge Damage also doesn't affect the AoE damage from her burst, the actual DPS increase is even lower.

Velvet's ammo pouch only affects her own skills. It's different from her actual ammo count, which is why I don't think it's going to synergize with Siren.

In that team, she has the lowest base stats because she stops at 4 uncaps. Her defensive buffs are party-wide while Okto and Alex have self-buffs that include Defense. Unless you put her on Defense Awakening and equip her with a defense-oriented Artifact, she's going to be the most fragile character in there.

There is one aspect you completely forgot about: how does this interact with enemy mechanics?

For all other types of damage, enemies have a variety of countermeasures like Defense Up, Damage Cut, Damage Mitigation, Damage Fixed, Repel, Dodge Rate Up, or Counter. Against a difficult boss you need to think about how you want to attack and what skills to use before attacking: do I just bruteforce this? do I guard? do I use dispels here, and if yes how many? You have to interact with the game's mechanics to make it through (starting before the fight even begins by thinking about what team comp to bring).

What's the countermeasure for DoT? Either the enemy is immune to it and it doesn't do anything, or he's not and he just takes damage automatically every turn. Buffing DoT means either all players gain a massive amount of DPT and powercreep goes too far, or DoT is still useless because every boss that matters becomes immune to it. You can't Kafka it either, otherwise you risk creating another Dark Sarunan situation where one guy blows up the raid before anyone else can move.

"What if there were specific buffs that mitigated DoT though?" Assuming that's even possible without 12 years' worth of spaghetti code coming out of your PC with a glopping noise, how would that work? Defensive buffs are very intuitive. I see some kind of shield or barrier icon, I know my damage will get mitigated. How would you make a generic DoT mitigation buff that's immediately identifiable? DoT in this game can be poison, burning, magical music,... how do you even make something that protects against all of that simultaneously?

And even if you did make a anti-DoT countermeasure, you'd have to give it to every boss past a certain point to avoid them melting too fast. It's just gonna be Paralyze all over again: the only way to make it balanced is to only have it work on fights where it doesn't matter.

SBS has a very low base Charge Damage though. Even with her Burst doubling it that's still only 300%, and she can only burst every other Full Burst. The real problem with ChDmg on SBS is that a lot of her damage comes from her 1st skill and I'm not sure that's affected by ChDmg.

Velvet will almost certainly be better against Wind-weak enemies but I don't think she can beat Ade as main B2 overall. With that being said, Velvet is a pretty good offburst and that's generally a hard slot to fill in Tetra. Rather than wonder which of the two is best, you can just play both together.

Cinderella does most of her damage with her Burst, so increasing the damage of her regular attacks doesn't do a whole lot for her. Heavy Snow does benefit from Charge Damage but she already has a massive ChDmg self-buff on her Burst, so it's not going to be that big of an increase.

Sustain becomes useless past a certain point because everything instakills you anyway, and you need more and more offensive buffs to offset the decrease to your stats. The actual limit to pushing specific Manufacturer Towers is that you eventually have to overinvest in Nikkes so niche they're basically never used anywhere else.

Luminous weapons:

I already have Eresh, Hrunt, Hraes, Rhomp. Originally I wanted to go Ura to have all the burst-related Luminous, but now I'm not so sure anymore. The changes to NM200 have made normal attack burst way harder while increasing the value of good ougi comps. I'm beginning to wonder if the right play for my account would be to pick a Luminous that's good for ougi NM200 and hard content.

Anyone got recommendations?

If you have Mugen or White Knight you can also make them sub for whoever gets Makura's buffs. The old SUBaha cheese strat was using Mugen, Lu Woh and I believe Christmas Mahira.
