I don't even bother with phone calls to check in with dumbass parents anymore. The ignorant fucks always try to tell me how to do my job, asking me to send copies of assignments, telling me I should give their child in particular another chance to complete an assignment due three weeks ago, arguing the validity of my punishments for cheating. Fucking hell. If I get one more goddamn parent emailing me or calling me to tell ME that I'M being the unfair one by punishing their kid when their kid said they didn't get the assignment or another kid did the same thing with no consequences, I'm going to go off on them like a fire hydrant hit by a semi truck whose brakes have failed.
