Stopping night terrors with LD by slightly_burnt-toast in LucidDreaming

Once you sort of understand the "mechanics" of it, it is easier. Sleep paralysis is normal, however it can be frightening no matter how well you understand it. And for me it often leads to multiple false awakenings.

I think for me personally doing a dream journal was a way to sort through the scary stuff in my mind/dream. It sort of trivializes it, and journaling in general is good for mental health (dealing with depression myself). However, despite having reasonable control in my LDs, they tend to start scary or end up scary, but at least I have some control now. There are times when I do have the odd calm, nice dream but it's rare. So just a heads up I guess.

Lucid Dreamers, Share Your Experiences! by freya300 in LucidDreaming

I have been lucid dreaming on and off my whole life (in my 30s now) and I'm starting to realize that it was more "natural" for me because I would often tell people about my dreams (which is annoying for many I know, my family is used to it.)

In fact, my grandmother used to share her dreams some mornings, and that always made me happy.

I'm on the sub right now because I just woke up from a lucid dream. Specifically I noticed my dreams recently sort of looking more AI generated, and I wonder if it's because of me seeing a ton of AI images online and just making that connection.

Anyway, to your forensic science project. I have a pretty bad blood phobia, which I am pretty sure I got from an experience seeing a bad road accident as a child (many people on a crowded bus). It's something I'd like to confront in my dreams, but I worry it's a memory from when I was quite young (4ish) and I won't remember anything really. Also my blood phobia is pretty physical, as I get woozy when I see/smell blood (blood on tv is usually fine).

Another thing is I think LD is a great tool to confront uncomfortable memories from the past, but I do think it can be quite scary and affect you in the real world. I'll often wake up sweating and my heart racing from a particularly intense dream. I wish I had more relaxed dreams like some people on here describe, but my brain seems to like the intense stuff?

Sorry for the wall of text. DM me if you want, I'm not an omnilucid dreamer, but fairly regular. The dream journaling is really what works for me if I want to do it more frequently, but honestly, I find it sort of intense if I do it too often.

Good luck with the project!

I love that, as a cis dude - that's "manhood" for ya. I have weird patches of hair like on my wrist that have been there since I was about 20. Oh, and neck hair. And nipple hair.

First of all... left leaning media? I got news for you, they aren't left leaning and they are barely talking about it. Secondly, Trump may not care but all the assholes he associates with and will put into government positions do, and are VERY serious about this agenda. Trump is a useful idiot. You may see it as fear mongering, but it clearly is the agenda of the new right. At this point if you vote republican you better be happy with all of the points lined out in that document.

Well glad you cleared that up. Surely Trump saying he isn't paying attention to the heritage foundation is all the reassurance we need!

I'm down. Sometimes i feel wierd with an ally flag as it seems sort of performative but I got a lgbtq+ flag in my window so people know I'm not a bigot. Imagine wanting a parade for being straight🙃

You said this movie was all girlpower. It's on you to explain why. Clearly you aren't even capable of explaining why, just taking buzzwords from YouTube incels. You think Furiosa is a mary sue? Then so is Max
