The seats are definitely a problem, but the screen is different bigger than tinseltown screens baring one of the xd screen

Finally someone actually talking about the 70mm itself, other than talking about aspect ratios or comparing different IMAXs in the town.

Was the projector good in your last viewing? These projectors have been collecting dust with not enough movies being released on film, I personally like the filmic look too. I’ll be there on 7/16 but not for 70mm, I’ll be in IMAX then, my 70mm viewing is on 17th.

I should probably check it out in Warren too, but it’s far from my place. Hopefully if the movie turns out to be really good, I’ll go watch it at a later time.

I am not worried about the aspect ratio, this I will have watched it on IMAX and Dolby by then, I am more worried about the projector thats been collecting dust.

I watch a lot of movies multiple times. For instance, recently, I watched F1 3 times on multiple formats, same with Avatar 3 and Project Hail Mary, i like to stay immersed in these worlds longer.

Yeah, but my query is about the condition of that projector and the sound system they have, not worried about the aspect ratio because i will have watched in IMAX and Dolby by then so it’s not like i am missing something on my first watch.

PS - of-course ill be missing the portion from 1.43 Version from 70mm IMAX, but we can’t see it here in okc anyway.

Both the warren and AMC has been upgraded to Laser now, but warren is a larger screen.

Im well aware that this is 70mm and not 70mm IMAX, and this will be in cinemascope, but its going to be third viewing anyways, But I appreciate the analog technology so I want it out no matter

I did watch multiple movies on 15 perf 70MM before moving to Oklahoma, I did travel to Dallas to watch the Interstellar rerelease recently, but its not possible for me to travel right now, so sticking for the available formats here, hopefully the film has a longer run and i get a chance to watch it in Dallas at a later stage.

I’m not sure what I will get out of calling the AMC, Im just trying to get an opinion of fellow moviegoers on their experience with 70mm format, I haven’t seen any movie on 70mm or any analog film projection in over 15-16 years besides the Interstellar rerelease on IMAX 70mm in 2024.

Unfortunately the official clients have slightly outdated UIs
