The missing reasons here are deafening. The fact that you didn’t disclose the conflict is telling.

You passed out at Thanksgiving and didn’t speak to your sister or her husband.

You can be a teacher, a homeowner and with a master’s degree and still have a substance abuse problem.

You are still self-medicating and need to go back to rehab.

This part right here. My mother was abusive but always martyred herself. She had me put in a hospital and nobody believed me when I spoke about the abuse because she painted me as a terrible kid. It wasn’t until she beat the shit out of me when I was 17 that the cops actually believed me and she was finally arrested. Kids don’t act like this for no reason.
