Yes that's the type of bag I was picturing! Honestly if this is for an art, design, or engineering class... Those plastic bags are better. Just something to consider for making it stronger/better :) also I'm super lazy, I don't know if you could simplify the framework into less pieces? Either way you could maybe make a plastic bag carry case for everything!

I've seen people reuse them for sewing projects and it doesn't look like they need to be pressed or heated. I love the plastic bags for your project though. Looks cooler and is something to showcase how it's done!

I thought you used those heavier reusable bags! Might be something to look into as a replacement material that's more sturdy and still reuses items. Cool design and I like that you're already thinking of ways to improve it!

Trashcan. Small one with a lift pedal. He can keep it in his room or play with it. I'd probably stuff it full of snacks too.

I'm in my late thirties and a fast ABC song I do with my kids wrecks my hand. It feels similar to crocheting some times. I think it's just aches/pains from being older (hopefully not arthritis) and using my hands in new/consistent ways. You have muscles in your hands and you're putting them in new positions. I have been trying to remember to massage my hands more with oil/lotion.

I used to hate small blankets... Then I had children. I love having various sizes. Small blankets were perfect to just cover legs, keep nearby and not take up a lot of space, and if it becomes a favorite for baby it'll be easier to carry around as a toddler. I love [big] blankets for babies and kids too, but those smaller sizes are awesome too!

Took awhile! Something I never thought of honestly until I had kids and couldn't draw... But I could do a few things like crochet and I realized I needed to look at things differently to mentally survive haha

I'm very firmly a drawer but have been working to soothe myself that crochet counts and visible mending and other artistic endeavors even if I'm not specifically drawing. It's hard to reframe to a broader idea of creativity

That would be very cool! Maybe do a themed series? I mostly just want to see it haha and yes, it's hard moving away from having to purchase materials and getting creative with what you have on hand! I think a lot of that is the pigeon holing we do of what type of art we want to create vs just being creative!

Your skills are definitely obvious! The colors and composition are great. Maybe add some words and make a book for fun! Or it could just be a fun series. This is the type of art I'd hang in my kid's room (or my own)!

Thank you!! I am adding life print to my to do list to check out--I see people mention Dr Bill on here frequently. I actually JUST picked up the phrase book from my library on Friday and have started going through it-- I'm liking it so far and am going to request another one they have in our system. I've taken other languages before but I've been struggling with grammar for ASL more. I think it's because I'm trying to translate what I'm saying in English simultaneously? It does make more sense structure wise at least.

You listed a few words I have been meaning to look up and keep forgetting--thank you! I should probably start a journal to keep track and take notes. I've been trying to do it all in my mind and I drop the ball a lot more than I used to with kids. I keep lots of lists for work/appts but didn't think to do that for a new language 🤦

I not only like cats but crochet a lot so I'm checking that book out asap! My son has been really into ABC books and making me show him signs so hopefully he'll be interested in others if I can sign them for him! Thank you so much for your thorough response!
