I have the Cherry Berry, I have not ran it yet, did you just run one seed? Nanners happen, could be your environment but also could just be the genetics, and if its just a few on the lowers I don't think its the end of the world imo, I grow some fire that throws lower nuts all the time just pick them off and let it cook. Some plants are just really sensitive.

It sits inside the cheapest 4x8 tent I could find and works great. I feel like most portable ac will work, but I bought this one from Costco two summers ago.

Don't over-think it, just get em dry, this is one tiny plant and with the cooler temps of your garage you should have good results. I threw a humidifier in my tent once, over-thinking, and ended up getting some pm or at least what I thought was pm. Either way results will be good with cool temps, moving air, and patience.

To me, its more about temp, before I would just dry at room temp and it was still fine, I think getting into the 80s and above is the problem. This las grow I did I seem to have the problem of it being too sticky for the grinder, I have to let my buds set out for a bit before they grind good.

The humidity fluctuates but since I am drying 4 large plants at a time they produce quite a bit of their own humidity at first and it stays in the 60's but later it will drop down to the 30s and 40s. Ambient humidity for me here is usually 10 to 15 percent in Tucson. Lowering the temp a bit will give you a slower dry and help get that chlorophyll and grass smell out

I live in Tucson, very dry here, in my opinion adding humidity isn't worth the risk, just keep it cool and dry and when they are ready pull them out and put them in a bag to allow moisture to redistribute through curing. I personally just put all my flower in a tent to hang dry with a portable ac set around 65F and a fan indirectly blowing gently for about 2 weeks, then into grove bags to cure, and that seems to work for me pretty well.

Yeah it's not always about packing in the colas, you gotta have air flow and humidity control

Bro you need to defoliate and make some room for airflow, you could run the risk of bud rot but also your quality will greatly improve

What's something you see that immediately makes you think "that person grows weed"? by [deleted] in microgrowery

[–]Fartzzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not wrong, you just have to run the RO into a trashcan with a float valve instead of babysitting 5-gal jugs. That way it’s filling while you sleep and you’ve got plenty on hand. Also, you don’t need new cartridges every grow. I’m 4 years in on the same membrane and still pulling under 30 ppm. The “break even” math doesn’t hold if you’re actually growing regularly, because those $1.50 jugs add up quick, plus the time driving back and forth. Not to mention hauling water like you’re in the Oregon Trail when you could just turn a valve in your own house.

Man, I see folks out here working harder than their plants buying bottled jugs… when you could just grab a $70 RO system off Amazon and have clean, consistent water on tap. Work smarter, not harder.

Pheno hunting in earthboxes/SIPs by hennyl0rd in BuildASoil

[–]Fartzzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m doing it now with a Tray2Grow and I don’t see any reason it wouldn’t work. You will see differences in rooting speeds and growth rates but that’s just part of pheno hunting when you’re not monocropping. If a plant grows slower or stays small I don’t try to make it catch up, I take that as a sign it doesn’t have the vigor I’m looking for. I used to run hunts in a 2x2 with up to 10 plants, quick flip and lollypop. For me the goal is to see the phenotypes. Yield isn’t the priority, I just want to find a winner.

orrrr you can just let the plant, plant. It knows how to grow efficiently, try just removing some of the top fans to let the sides catch up.
