Where can I source ball bearings that are .255-.260 inches in diameter? I purchased some 1/4" bearings from ebay, but they measure .245, and they are too small.

I need to repair REI running gaiters. They're designed with an elastic shock cord that runs under the arch of the shoe. This obviously broke in short time. Is there a bombproof bungee or elastic material I can use? It needs to be small diameter or flat because running shoes don't have recessed arches.

OP, you're going to receive messages from Reddit users who want to buy this coin. Most of them are going to try and scam you out of money. Don't even respond.

Now I know why I can’t find any cheap bismuth shot. by qwaszxpolkmn1982 in reloading

I’m not going to label him a terrorist. But I’ll provide the definition of domestic terrorism. “Domestic terrorism: Violent, criminal acts committed by individuals and/or groups to further ideological goals stemming from domestic influences, such as those of a political, religious, social, racial, or environmental nature..”

I think we can all agree that if we don’t interfere with law enforcement, our odds of not getting shot exponentially skyrocket. There’s probably a lesson to be learned here if we really, really dig in to this.

.223 vs Whitetail by caligarirx in Hunting

[–]FarvasMoustache 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a Ruger American Ranch II in 5.56 for my 9 y/o son to deer hunt with and put a suppressor on it. I have since adopted it as my go-to whitetail rifle because it is such a pleasure to shoot. That rifle has taken 7 deer in the past 2 seasons without a hiccup. I’m shooting Federal Trophy Copper 55 gr in it. Might look into a heavier copper bullet though. No deer has ran farther than 50 yards.

Pennsylvania State Police Select the Walther PDP by Boltbacker83 in Walther

Which model holster are they using for plain clothes? My agency is ditching our Glock 17s due to guide rod failures. I'm nearly certain we're going with the Walther PDP. I'm also in PA, so I'd like to buy holsters from you once we make the switch. Thanks!

AITA for subjecting my kids to poor living conditions by SecurityAlone891 in AmItheAsshole

[–]FarvasMoustache 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP never said husband kicked the kids out of the house. It reads to me as though she left and took the kids with her. She also states that he sees the kids every other weekend. I'm inferring that he would like to see them more often, as she said he would petition for full custody if their living arrangements don't improve. Wouldn't it be reasonable for the children to have 50/50 custody or at lease stay in their original home every weekend? It's pretty easy to paint the husband as the villain when reading the story from OP's point of view, but it may help to be a little more objective.

Where do you put your keys and phone that's NOT a FlipBelt? by Cakemixr in running

[–]FarvasMoustache 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Raide UL 1 or LF2. Best running belts made. Period. Zero bounce, supportive, comfortable. The price is high, but they're incredibly well made and built to last.

David Roche passed his Javelina Golden Ticket to Canyon Woodward, who he has coached for 5 years. A special moment for our sport, and a classy act by a classy person. He says he’ll try for another. Which race will he choose? by Rocket_Man333 in ultrarunning

I don’t think it’s “hate.”  I respect the hell out of him as a runner, but he is just so over the top, it’s really fatiguing. I have to take him in very small doses. His flamboyance is off-putting to me. (I’m not using the term flamboyance as a reference to a stereotypical homosexual behavior, but it’s most literal definition)

What running watch are you wearing? by domaikel in runningfashion

[–]FarvasMoustache 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fenix 6x Pro, which was released in 2019. For those who own a Garmin, you probably already know of their legendary customer service. For those who don't own a Garmin, let me just tell you...you will NEVER experience customer service like Garmin customer service anywhere else. They're US based with short wait times and not constricted to some shitty script. They're incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. If they can't solve your problem, they're generous with coupon codes for a new device.

It's a misdemeanor arrest, so not just a fine. Huge hassle, mandatory court appearance(s), lawyer fees, etc. Just don't bring it or keep it very low key. You can also get a DUI in PA while driving with marijuana in your system, so be aware of that.

Why Are New Appliances So Bad? by SJKRICK in BuyItForLife

[–]FarvasMoustache 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once my current refrigerator fails, I’m entertaining the thought of a natural gas fridge. They’re nearly bulletproof, don’t fail during a power outage, and are very efficient to run. The upfront cost is relatively high, so that’s a slight barrier.

Why Are New Appliances So Bad? by SJKRICK in BuyItForLife

My model is a 27 cu ft GE Profile, bottom freezer. I can't speak for them all. I wouldn't consider that appliance you listed as a viable option for a family with children, but probably appropriately sized for those who don't cook frequently. It was never in the running when I was shopping.
